Mar 28, 2011One of the greatest shows on TV now. Constantly funny with tons and tons of background jokes. The world they created is a weird twist between Cold War USA and a modern world in which cell phone can have hip hop ring tones titled "Mulatto Butts"

Jun 13, 2011I really loved season 1, not liking season 2 nearly as much. It might grow on me but so far it feels forced and poorly written by comparison. Shame, I was really looking forward to this.

Feb 7, 2011Very funny. The voicework is phenomenal, the animation is striking, and the dialogue is witty and filled with double entendres that whiz past by the second. The jokes are fast and sometimes hidden, so this is a show that requires attention.

Mar 22, 2011Hysterical! The direction and writing for this show are superb. They have got the timing and personalities of the characters down pat. Each episode is wonderful in it's own sick and twisted way, throwing in hilarious running jokes and out of nowhere situations. Highly reccomend!

Mar 27, 2012Better than the first season, it's funnier, more action packed, and the characters are better, so if you liked the first season you'll love this one even more, you will be rolling on the floor, but don't let this one around kids, a must watch.

Mar 20, 2011I'm a huge fan of the first season. And while the second season is 100% as funny as the first, the show is its own cancer. Some 20% of the jokes rehash or rely on old jokes. That's not a recipe for success, because next season, it'll be 40%. Furthermore, they are already parodying themselves, which doesn't bode well. I imagine the show will make it to a 3rd season, but I doubt a 4th.

Apr 5, 2015Featuring an excellent cast of characters and voice actors Archer’s second season see’s an improvement in terms of consistency, and out and out laughs, over the already very good first season.

May 12, 2011Literally the most hilarious show on TV today. 9 out of 10 people will love it, and 1 will hate it, like my girlfriend. She just doesn't see the humor, but to me, the wittiness of it, the jokes over jokes over jokes, the sarcastic tone of just about everyone on the show. Every character stands out, every flaw, every strength, it's literally a full on caricature of a live TV show. I love it.

Dec 30, 2011I think that this show has gotten better, especially with regards to the development of the secondary characters. I mean really the kidnapping episode is just laugh out loud funny. As with the first season I immediately bought the episodes from iTunes so I can watch them again, and I have. It is just a "sterling" show.

Jul 14, 2011I thought it couldn't get any better that the first season and it was ten folds better! The greatest animated comedy on TV for me... Never have I seen a group of characters so Hilarius and well developed... hats off to the creator..

Feb 11, 2014Though less humorous than season 1 it makes up for it in depth of storyline and character development. It brings the regular characters together bonding them in extreme and absurd yet believable circumstances.

Jan 3, 2022A nuanced orginal spy comedy with enough gags to fill marinas trench. Wild array of fascinating characters that push the boundaries of dark comedy.

In its second season, the spy parody remains my favorite animated series, thanks to its retro visual design--this is a cartoon for the age of Mad Men--and the vicious, dead-aim put-downs that make up most of the dialogue. [14 Mar 2011, p.42]

The other six episodes I've seen have their ups and downs, but that's kind of the nature of the beast with comedies that push the outer edge of the envelope of taste and common decency; their batting average will be lower than their comedy peers, but their slugging percentage will be higher.

Archer hits the comedy bull's-eye with smart, provocative writing.
