'Bout time! Strong female lead with complimentary cast. Decent science fiction scenarios. With all the mediocre to crap sci fi fare floating around, Another Life is refreshing. Negative reviewers are Lost in Space:)

A fascinating universe, it's quite a shame we likely won't see more than 2 seasons! Give it a whirl.

A little slow to develop, could cut the soap opera drama, SJW nonsense and sex by about two thirds but other than that good Sci Fi fun... I would watch a couple more seasons for a conclusion.

I dont agree with the criticism of the writing, it's alright in my book. I promised that I would update my review once I have gone longer into the season and so here I am upping the score to a solid 9; the season have only been getting better. Thumbs up!

I dont understand all the negativity for this show. I watched the first episode (1 hour) and I have to say it's pretty intense and entertaining. I get that the premise doesnt make sense: that the US government would put these young seemingly inexperienced people that is not very good at cooperating together on a spaceship to another star system to meet the aliens/save humanity, it's a completely ridiculous premise. However, if you can get over that fact then it actually works. It makes for some interesting and entertaining drama and having Katee Sackhoff in the center of it is excellent, she does a great job. Im not sure it would have been so entertaining had the team members been die hard proffesionals. I mean what challenge would they face that we would want to see? Without the drama I wager it would be boring af. Tbh one of the things I really like about this shows is that it is damn intense and that makes it very watchable and entertaining. That being said, they could have gone out of the way to write up the premise much more believable.

There was some other inconsistencies that didn't make sense. I wont mention what it is because spoilers, but it's something that does detract a bit. I would have giving this 9, but the inconsistencies makes it go down to 8.

The shows production value is also very high. This is not the most important, but it does boost the already high entertainment value.

As mentioned Im only just begun with the show, so well, lets see how it goes, I only watched the beginning. I'll update my review/score in case things change.

Netflix should listen to all the home Users who enjoyed watching this, since their ratings are far better and true. Kate Sackoff, you rock girl, thankyou. :)
I also liked the addition of Gabriel (Allan Hawco) as the evil A.I. ... ;) I wish Netflix would make more of these types of Sci-Fi shows

That interspersed with the constant forays into surrealism and dream sequences gave this viewer the feeling of being jerked around. I saw far too much of the characters' romantic lives than I wanted to. People living with rationed water having sex in space in hot, clammy quarters. You can smell the funk coming off your TV set. The writers apparently couldn't resist ripping off Alien. The space creature sequences are just plain silly. I found myself skipping scenes. I'd be surprised if it was picked up for another season. This is like saying that being in the hospital with bad bad covid is great because you get pudding. I think its really cool having young teensAI writing your show to see their perspective. Just as the AI in the show makes impossibly rediculous decisions. What would it be like to send a group of kids into space? Well finally we have the answers. Expand
