    If the first season of this show wasn't bad enough, Alphas managed to squeeze out a second season despite poor ratings. And it has gone from a mediocre show with a bad plot, to a terrible show with a horrendous plot. About the only positive thing about this entire season of this show was the ending (to remain spoiler free I won't mention what happened) and even that was inconstant with theIf the first season of this show wasn't bad enough, Alphas managed to squeeze out a second season despite poor ratings.     All in all, the Alphas season premiere is competent and enjoyable when it comes to action and pacing, but this show (especially given its modest budget) will rise and fall on the continuation of the character development begun in Season 1, and the jury's still out on that front.
