This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As has always been the case with Alias there are plenty of superbly directed action sequences and all manner of plot twists to keep fans entertained throughout the twenty-two episodes on offer in this Fourth Season. Unfortunately, the large number of stand-alone episodes in the first half of the season robbed the show of some of its urgency, and the increasingly unrealistic nature often became a bit of a distraction. It’s still more than watchable, but this is certainly the shows weakest season so far. Expand

After a lackluster 3rd season, Alias regained some of its gusto by bringing back some of the old formula. Albeit, some of this comes at the expense of some eyebrow-raising logic, but once you get past that the enjoyable nature of the show is still there.

Everybody here has a festering grudge or a haunting memory, and you wish they could simply sit down someplace and talk things over.

Alias, although not the layered, sneaky, wildly imaginative drama it once was, is still entertaining.
