    As Nikki, Ramirez offers a stalwart, no-nonsense balance to Jason's off-kilter energy, and she handles a showy stunt sequence in the premiere nicely. And Caan, reliably, is the everything bagel seasoning that keeps Alert from being just another bland lump of procedural dough.

    Why do they keep shooting at cars with hostages in? and why does that lady keep rubbing eggs on people, and burning stuff like an absoluteWhy do they keep shooting at cars with hostages in? and why does that lady keep rubbing eggs on people, and burning stuff like an absolute nutcase? without a doubt the worst made tv show i've seen in years. it's unintentionally hilarious. with a few tweaks it would be a good satire of police procedurals, but it goes all in on the most ridiculous tropes and awful characters.… Full Review »
