    It’s the music where she’s most expressive, which was certainly borne out Sunday night by her uneventful and distinctly nonrevealing interview with Oprah, which only succeeded in interrupting the momentum of the performance.

    She certainly didn’t seem too bothered about winning over Winfrey. And so One Night Only ended, as it had begun, with Adele resplendent as pop’s ultimate girl next door – but also as an enigma who refused to be unlocked.

    Adele has a magnificent voice. The songs were well chosen to combine both old favorites and selections from her new album. The setting wasAdele has a magnificent voice. But the interview did often seem like an interruption that broke the flow of the concert. Maybe a longer portion of the interview which interrupted the concert less often would have worked better, or airing the total interview at the beginning of the show. Full Review »
