    I didn’t laugh even once; instead, I cringed over and over at the bland repartee and the way each character has one primary quality, which he or she telegraphs to us at every chance.

    I wanted to like it but I couldn't. Not a very well family oriented television show - maybe the producer(s) needs to talk to someone aboutI wanted to like it but I couldn't. Not a very well family oriented television show - maybe the producer(s) needs to talk to someone about their past. #1 the added Laugh Tracks were outrageously annoying. Go back and watch it again if you don't believe me. You have an alcoholic father / husband played by Neil Flynn who states that he is there at least 5 hours per night 7 days a week - Nice family man.     Snarky little sitcom that should be better than it is. Characters are weak and the writing is weaker! Can’t judge the acting because they have so little to work with. Producers should be firing most of the writing staff for lack of creativity.

    Take all the sad, one-dimensional sitcom characters you don’t care about and let them get blasted in someone’s backyard. That’s it!

    I went back to watch the premier episode of Cheers after watching the first episode of Abby's, hoping to come to some understanding of why II went back to watch the premier episode of Cheers after watching the first episode of Abby's, hoping to come to some understanding of why I liked a bar show from thirty years ago, but not this new one. Cheers had heart. It was a show about a bunch of lovable losers, and they were lovable. The characters on Abby's are losers, but I did not find anything lovable about them. Full Review »
