PeterF.May 20, 2008The funniest show on television, bar none.

mixalotOct 10, 2006the debut episode at least is incredibly funny.

alexlOct 10, 2006saw first episode on an nbc.com page and laughed out loud which is more than anything besides the office does for me

JamesOct 12, 2006Terrible. Just awful. I don't understand for a second what all the fuss is about. I laughed more at Studio 60 than I did at this. It feels like a really long, really unfunny SNL sketch. To compare this show to The Office is simply an insult to the hard working (and FUNNY) people on that show. Truly and utterly disappointing.

AlyA.Aug 23, 2007I can't believe they kept this show over Studio 60!

MattHOct 22, 2006This was really disappointing. I got all of the jokes; I've just heard them all before. I think Tina Fey is a great writer, so the show we'll turn around, if she isn't being controlled by the studio.

Nov 27, 2010This show is full of wit and great acting. A few jokes are misses, but they're a small percentage when you look at the very funny full pictures. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin bring their phenominal acting, but they aren't spoiled, they share the fun with the entire cast. It is definitely worth it.

May 16, 2011One of the most fantastic shows on television. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are fantastic leads, and are backed by an extremely funny supporting cast. The show has pretty goofy humor, but the writing is spot on. The show also gets stronger as it goes on. Don't watch less than the first 4-5 episodes or you will not get the full experience of the show.

Jan 21, 2012I have not watch 30Rock since they attempted to make a joke out of the Kent State shooting. I was there it was not funny, not funny at all. Very disappointed in the writing from Tina. Alex was never funny, just a self center person.

Nov 1, 2012I don't know if there's ever been an episode of "30 Rock" where I haven't laughed really hard. Whether or not it's a line from the ever sardonic Liz Lemon, moronic Tracy Jordan, star-obsessed Jenna Maroney, the witty Jack Donagheuy or ever-enthusiastic Kenneth Parcell, the show is consistently funny and stands apart from all sitcoms. It's ten-times more biting, and Fey is perfect.

Feb 8, 2013Practically the funniest show on tv. The mishaps of Miss Lemon is just down right hilarious!
So sad it's ended. God good Lemon, i hope another show starts just like this! -
Jul 28, 2013One of the funniest shows on television I've ever seen. It's insanely addictive and hilarious. Highly recommended. Tina Fey's writing is great, as well as her comedic timing. Every character is likable and at one point or other, funny.

Apr 1, 2014This one found and held its groove for quite awhile, and ended on a good note. I would get a solid laugh generally every episode and it has rewatchability because some of the humor is very complex and witty. One of the top sitcoms I've seen.

JackH.Oct 7, 2008Absolutely ace! Tina Fey has done the impossible, she has made me like Alec Baldwin. My only complaint with this show is all the Soyjoy references, I didn't actually realise it was a real brand.

IrfanBNov 2, 2006This show has the potential to be the funniest on television right now! Tina Fey, as we all know, is awesome. And Alec Baldwin has probably made the best decision at this phase of his career. I can't see anyone else play the role Baldwin does - egoistical, two-faced, sarcastic, corporate a-hole.9/10 for me.

JamesN.Jun 5, 2008The best thing since sliced Sabor De Soledad. In all seriousness; this is the greatest show since Arrested Development.

NateB.Oct 11, 2006A show about a comedy show that is actually funny. Maybe Sorkin should get off his soapbox for a minute and see how it's done. Extremely funny.

ellieaOct 10, 2006I wanted to like Studio 60 but honestly couldn't make it through the first episode, it was so self-important. Ugh. I watched 30 Rock online twice, laughing at stuff I didn't catch the first time. It's funny!

jaredOct 12, 2006Quick witted and funny!

ErakOct 12, 2006The show completely lost me not when Alec Baldwin spent 5 minutes pitching the new GE oven, but when a commercial aired 15 minutes later revealed to me that it was real. Oh, and the show itself just isn't funny. I'm told by the reviews the second episode is much better, but the blatent product placement in this one is more than enough of a deal breaker.

RobertSOct 12, 2006Some good one-liners, Baldwin plays the pompus TV Exec out of his element too well. Over all, will wait to see the 2nd episode.

-
RHOct 17, 2006I'd do Tina Fey, no question, but would it be worth it if I had to watch the show? It's not horrible, but staring at the wall would seem to be about an equally good use of my time.

[Anonymous]Oct 18, 2006Fast paced, well written, hilarious show!!! The best new comedy of the season.

-
JohnOct 20, 2006Hilarious! I love this show and hope the real Alec Baldwins behind the scenes get it and keep their egos outta the way....

-
DrewTDec 8, 2006I haven't been watching the show religiously, but what I saw of the November 30th broadcast would lead me to believe it's the best sitcom since "Seinfeld". Tina Fey is the perfect foil and Alec Baldwin has such a great comic sense. Those who don't appreciate the humor are probably used to having their comedy pounded into them. Or maybe they relate too closely to the "Beeper King".

LowellFJan 12, 2007Consistently entertaining. A little torn between being conventional and being absurd-- needs more of the latter.

KevOct 2, 2008Quite funny, but the laughs were pretty cheap. I did like the fast-paced wit the show offered though. It seemed on the right track, just a bit hit-and-miss as far as writing and acting goes.

One of the zaniest - and most savvy - workplace comedies in years.
-
For all the show's cartooniness, its gender-conscious take on the TV business is actually more sophisticated [than Studio 60's].
-
The standard caution is relevant -- debut episodes tend to be highly polished. All the more reason to enjoy the hilarious scenes and fine ensemble cast here.
