    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I wanted to share the same view as most of the people but i can't like this TV Serie that much. They squeezed her death so much that i was expecting something more heartbreaking or unexpected in the end. Dylan Minnette had one of the best performances i've seen in this type of show and deserves an high credit for most people's positive valuation. But i was dissapointed on his character's reason on her death. I mean, everybody was saying to Clay that his tape was yet to come in the first episodes and once it comes there is nothing wrong or meaningful. I'm still going to watch the final 2 episodes but i'm not expecting something that big to change my score. This long hours could be transformed in a movie about it to make it more worth. Not that much content for so many episodes.… Expand

    At first, I felt bad for this Hannah Baker that killed herself, but soon enough, I realized that this show is over dramatic.
    What happened to her and the reasons she killed herself are ridiculous. What she has been through happens to any regular high school student - maybe not to this extend (the accumulation of events in a short period of time AND the rape, I haven't finished the show yet, i'm at episode 7) but things happen.
    I came to think that mentally unstable kids going through puberty or that are just at a low point in life (cause high school can be tough), may think that their situation is comparable to Hannah Baker's and therefore will start thinking about killing themselves too.
    And again, I haven't finished the show yet, so i'm not aware of all the incidents, but TOUGHEN UP!
    I just hope that this show will not be the reason kids start killing themselves, or think about doing it.    … Expand

    This show is so brillant, well writing & playing, raw & powerfull, sad & heartbreaking. This show changed definitvely my vison about teenagers. The cast is impressive. Another one masterpiece from Netflix. A must see.

    As a mother of two daughters and a future public school teacher, this movie really hit close to home. I didn't expect to become some interested in this series, but it had me hooked after the first episode. I watched the entire season in less than a week, and for a person who normally doesn't ever watch television, that's a big deal.

    The each episode was so detailed and it always kept my attention. The message behind this show was very eye-opening for parents, teachers, students, and just everyone in general. We can all learn something from 13 Reasons Why. I'm not going to lie, but this show truly terrified me. It changed the way I look at others, and it makes me think twice before I say anything. It also made me think twice before I thought about not saying anything as well.
    As a parent, it's hard to tell that there are any issues with our children, no matter how close the relationship. I can say this from my own teenage experience. My daughters are close to me, and I try to make sure to keep an open and positive relationship with them. Even with the openness and giving them the ability to come to me for anything, they still keep secrets from me. It's just how it will always be. I don't know how to change that, but I will continue to love them and show them how much they mean to me regardless of their mistakes and imperfections.
    As teacher, this opens my eyes to be able to see and recognize when students are feeling like they have nothing else to live for. I want to be the teacher who has that good rapport with the students, and I can say that I have a good relationship with them. I want to be able to make a change in their lives and show them their worth because they are important.
    I have lived this life in high school, and I remember how hard it can be. I dealt with it by ignoring it and making fun of it. I also remember making others feel bad because I felt bad. That is how I coped with things.. I want to teach my own children and students to be respectful and caring of each other because we all deserve it.
    I know this post is a lot, but I hope that this show can open the eyes of others like it has mine. If we could all see, understand, and treat others better just by simply watching 13 Reasons Why than why not. I would recommend this show to friends, parents, teachers, and older teens for sure.    … Expand

    Una serie muy buena, muy lenta eso si, pero no tiene por que ser malo, al principio no se entiende las razones que le llevo al suicidio, en los últimos capítulos entenderás todo , muy duro

    although the story is so moving,poignant and sometimes hard to watch,it expresses the true feeling of depression,isolation and how fragile a teenager could be.it also teaches teenagers how to behave specially toward girls.

    An incredibly overwrought, poorly written, poorly acted slog. I feel bad for all high schoolers if this is how bleak your everyday life is. Mine, as long ago as it was, was obviously all sunshine and rainbows. There are many YA books that deserve adaptation... the Asher book did not deserve THIS adaptation.

    If you've ever experienced what it's like to know someone close to you that has committed suicide, this is the TV series you've been waiting for. It's brutally honest, and it doesn't feel at all melodramatic. I was so afraid that this was going to end being a "typical teenage bs drama."

    It's not. Fantastic job. I hope this series instigates a wide-spread dialogue about suicide and    If you've ever experienced what it's like to know someone close to you that has committed suicide, this is the TV series you've been waiting for.     13 Reasons Why' is an annoying and provocative sitcom. How the people can suffer with direct things and some dangerous game that could be offensive. We never know that happens in the mind of the other people. We need to be careful with that. Good messages have been passed with 13 Reasons Why'!

    A drawn and repetitive story, it came with a good perspective, but it did not show anything of convivial nor of direcferente or innovator.

    Not unlike other stories on television, the drama of a teenager who suffered and tragically takes her life is a good option for a weekend, but it is not a production that will catch your attention.

    '13 reasons why' is a brilliant TV show. The plot is so emotional and powerful. It touches one of the main problems that people are facing and it shocked me in every possible way. One of the best series of 2017. Highly recommended

    I enjoyed it very much. Good acting, a plot full of suspense, and great lesson learned. I do not remember watching something this sad for a very long, long time. I recommend it

    Show is amazing. Great work to all on screen and behind the camera! I could very much relate to the show very well and thought it was great for Generation Z.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Based on all the positive reviews this show is getting, I expected to love it. Now I realize everyone is just reacting to the current hot-button topic of teenage suicide. But no matter what the subject, a show can't be good w/o good writing. This show is plagued by teenage slang and witticisms invented by the writers, who clearly have no idea how real teenagers speak, in an attempt to be hip. Slang like "cappuccino fingers." As in "Eww, don't touch me with your cappuccino fingers!" What the hell are cappuccino fingers? The fingers the perpetrator got from holding a mug of cappuccino by its handle? It's complete nonsense that I'd normally ignore, except that the whole series is loaded with this type of senseless dialogue. But the worst part is the plot device that gets the whole show started, and the reason the narrator is driven down the path to suicide. She went on a date with a jock cretin, who creepily took an upskirt photo of her while she was fully dressed (including underwear). Said cretin's moronic friends grab his phone and send the pic to everyone in the school. All the kids then immediately and inexplicably extrapolate from this pic that the girl had sex with the jock. Why? How does someone get from point A to B here? If the showrunners (or novel author - I don't know, I haven't read the book) bothered to research the subject of the show, they'd know that high school social media is riddled with far more risque pictures than this. It's a big part of the problem in today's schools. Putting aside the completely illogical assumption of sex from the photo, no kids today are jumping to such conclusions from pics like this, let alone alienating the picture's subjects because of it. If so, everyone in high school would be walking the hallways alone with their heads hung in shame. It's a preposterous start to the show, and infects the plotting of everything that follows. The narrator is also annoyingly self-obsessed, forcing 13 kids, who probably don't have the attention span to binge a bad Netflix show, to listen to 13 cassettes about her life. If her life was so important and worthy of so much attention, why did she herself throw it away so easily? By the time I got to the 3rd episode, I was glad the narrator of the tapes was dead, because she seemed like such a self-centered brat to me, so I honored her by killing the show on my watchlist as well.… Expand

    '13 Reasons Why' is probably one of the most poignant thrillers in television. No only is the acting superb, but also the way it touches you is simply heartbreaking. Bravo, Netflix!

    A steady 13-episode descent into grief and emotional confusion, 13 Reasons Why is an honorably mature piece of young-adult adaptation, fleshing out Jay Asher's well-regarded novel in a way that allows its cold-hearted high-school environment to breathe while revolving around tremendous lead turns by Dylan Minnette and particularly Australian newcomer Katherine Langford

    The first thing I want to say before I start, is that I do not binge watch TV series. It's extremely rare for me, and I often don't even finish the season. This TV series had me hooked from start to finish and I spent all day watching it.

    While I was watching I was thinking - this is absolutely brilliant TV. However, by then end of it, I was thinking - that was so powerful and emotional    The first thing I want to say before I start, is that I do not binge watch TV series. I could barely watch the final few episodes, because I was so engrossed in the story and it does becomes quite graphic. I will say no more.

    Clay’s conduct sometimes borders on the insufferable. And while Hannah’s traumas are authentically dramatized, she’s forced to endure so many indignities that, in total, she occasionally comes across as a symbolic vessel for an important message, rather than a flesh-and-blood human being. Fortunately, Langford’s wounded-yet-bold lead performance is altogether charming, and Minnette is equally credible.

    This story is sure to be devoured by teens who respond to its dark themes. But it could use a bit more leavening, acknowledging the reasons why life can be something more than apocalyptic.

    Langford and Minnette are the magnetic core of this drama. Separately and together, they have a dynamic chemistry that glows when they share the screen and energizes their scenes with others.
