Despite our reservations about the plot, we had an entertaining time with Velvet Assassin. It never hits the highs of the average Hitman mission, but the game's palpable atmosphere, and solid sneaking mechanics, should satisfy anyone suffering from stealth-deprivation - and help keep your mind off the agonising wait until Agent 47, Sam Fisher and Garrett finally emerge from the gloom.- Xbox World 360 Magazine UK

Alienates gamers to appease the fans and ends up impressing neither party. [Jan 2010, p.75]- Xbox World 360 Magazine UK

We appreciate that mini-games must be simple and intuitive, but that doesn't mean they can't be imaginative, or hide subtle depths and plenty of replayability, or at least pretend they're doing something exciting. Party Animals does none of these.- Xbox World 360 Magazine UK

The addition of online co-op and Deathmatch modes maybe elevates Monster Madness above the bottom tier of Live Arcade titles, but at full price there will probably be so few people playing that it's unlikely to be a vibrant online community.- Xbox World 360 Magazine UK

A strong license attached to an abysmal game, like a Ferrari attached to a boat anchor. [June 2009, p.95]- Xbox World 360 Magazine UK

Not shat or shovel, Asteroids Deluxe is one of the very, very few early eighties games that still play well. [Feb 2008, p.94]- Xbox World 360 Magazine UK

A good game, but one which feels eerily out of place and out of time. [Sept 2008, p.79]- Xbox World 360 Magazine UK

The emo-tastically tasty Ms Witch can flip and twirl like an ant-infested Lara Croft, but there's rarely ever any handy platform for her to clamber onto. The levels are as flat and one-dimensional as the gameplay - but despite its problems, you're quite likely to find it, well, a bit of a blast.- Xbox World 360 Magazine UK
