A fun distraction from the mainline Final Fantasy games, this is a game you’re going to want to digest in small pieces. World of Final Fantasy Maxima is so sickeningly cute and twee that it sometimes comes off as unbearable (thanks to the main characters) but when you get past that, there is a compelling and intelligent battle system waiting for you. And obviously, the new Xbox One additions are welcome, even if they're not particularly huge. If you’re a die-hard Final Fantasy fan and can put the time into this game, you’re going to get a lot out of it.- Xbox Achievements

Simplistic it may be, but there's an inherent charm to The Big Con that proves infectious. A sweet, coming-of-age yarn that happens to involve a lot of stealing and skullduggery, Mighty Yell's game is full of heart, soul, and '90s nostalgia.- Xbox Achievements

If you're in the market for simple, viscera-packed thrills, then you could do a lot worse than Shadow Warrior 2. Yes, it's a bit repetitive (it's getting repetitive writing the word 'repetitive'), but it's also a lot of fun.- Xbox Achievements

Surprisingly, controls are quite intuitive and easy to use, and the navigation menus are pretty straight forward.- Xbox Achievements

Monument Valley 3 is a very pleasant and enjoyable perspective-shifting puzzler, that despite being a bit short and simplistic, is nonetheless a nice way to spend a couple of hours.- Xbox Achievements

A perfectly decent chunk of linear extra-terrestrial shooting, with a sprinkling of mild Soulslike elements, nice puzzles, and plenty of exploration, Scars Above is a double-A budget game that's worth a look.- Xbox Achievements

A fun but frustrating cooking experience, Overcooked is a fantastic couch co-op party game that will put your friendships to the test. Expect to be shouting and swearing at one another a lot; it gets pretty damn hot in Overcooked's kitchen.- Xbox Achievements

A worthy continuation of the Worms franchise, a nice return to form after deviating to 3D for a few years. Worms W.M.D gets everything right from a mechanical standpoint, but we can't help but feel a few of the design choices were unnecessary. The big new additions are hit and miss, but in the middle of all the fluff there's a solid, very playable game - especially if you're into couch co-op/multiplayer.- Xbox Achievements

The motion sensing works, with a few exceptions, and the events are wrapped up in some beautiful presentation. Microsoft finally has a decent excuse for Xbox One’s all-seeing eye.- Xbox Achievements

Armored Core V is certainly a deep game, but it's also one that is let down by an underwhelming solo experience and an overly demanding online mode.- Xbox Achievements

Whilst it’s quite clear that BioWare are in a good run of form with their full retail titles, creating RPGs from the upper echelons of class and sophistication, Kasumi’s Stolen Memories is another piece of DLC that just goes to show that they haven’t taken that art across into their DLC.- Xbox Achievements

You’ll be left with mixed emotions after playing Beneath the Ashes. On the one hand you’ll have really enjoyed the experience, especially the fact that the new level isn’t a patchwork quilt of other environments from the main game; it’s a fresh new level with some pretty great puzzles. On the other hand, 2 or 3 hours will have passed and you’ll be questioning the price for such a short albeit entertaining experience.- Xbox Achievements

The Bradwell Conspiracy is a game whose lofty concept doesn't quite match its execution. Its light, fairly arbitrary puzzles aren't particularly challenging, but its strong narrative is deployed almost perfectly throughout to weave them all together. The Bradwell Conspiracy is still an enjoyable journey, however, and certainly worthy of your time.- Xbox Achievements

A throwback to survival horror's heyday, The Evil Within's story is daft and convoluted, featuring a mad scientist who might as well be Krieger from Archer. Frustrating and entertaining in equal measure, The Evil Within falls short of offering any proper scares.- Xbox Achievements

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is certainly starting to show its age, but the game still offers some great combat and a deep, high-fantasy world. If you’re looking for an expansive RPG to get stuck into, you could certainly do worse than Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, as long as you keep your expectations in check.- Xbox Achievements

Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes takes the first game, bolsters the Toy Box, crams in a bunch of new stuff and introduces some of Marvel Comics' finest characters into the fray. Any self-respecting Marvel fan is going to get a kick out of it, and the figures are fantastic, but repetition and slightly shoddy mechanics make the game a bit of a chore.- Xbox Achievements

If you like Worms, you'll still love Worms Battlegrounds. Deathmatch and Forts modes are still fun when played with friends, but single-player feels like an interminable grind. Here's what you need to know, in a nutshell: it's a Worms game. Pure and simple.- Xbox Achievements

While FC IQ has elevated the on-pitch experience somewhat, off the pitch FC 25 hasn't really changed at al since last yearl. It's all a bit stagnant, in truth. If EA Sports FC 25 were a football stadium, it'd be Old Trafford - a once majestic beast that’s now in need of some serious work.- Xbox Achievements

This game is actually a lot of fun while it lasts, but the missions soon begin to blend into one another and the side missions are just not that entertaining. The on foot sections of the game are frankly dire, but if you are after a few hours of fun you could do much worse than lose yourself in this.- Xbox Achievements

Buried beneath the poor shooter mechanics, Alpha Protocol does exactly what it says on the box, and that's make choice your weapon. With a great dialogue mechanic and more choice than your local Tesco megastore, the title is ultimately a letdown in every department except these key disciplines.- Xbox Achievements
