Fundamentally Gameloft need to focus more on the story delivery, pacing, and most importantly remove the shackles of the helping hand, to give gamers more exploration and a feeling of achievement.

With smooth controls, impressive visuals, a huge variety of race modes to choose from, a good number of characters and tracks to unlock, and challenging AI in later levels, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing provides the best kart racing experience on the App Store.

It's the best example of a retro platformer on iOS yet…and I'm hooked!

A true gem, and it is one of the few games that I as a parent can play with my kids and enjoy it with them. Multiple solutions, 70 challenging levels, great graphics and unparalleled online sharing functionality makes Casey's Contraptions a must buy for the iPad.

The only difference between ep4 and all it's predecessors is the story and locations, all the existing problems and the existing greatness follow over into this episode, so I am sure you can probably already guess what I'll be scoring this episode ...again.

It does have a ridiculously simple one-tap gameplay mechanic, the art style and music is cute and catchy, and there is that 'one more try' allure to go for high scores. However, it doesn't quite offer enough to compete with the best of the best casual games.

If you are into match three games it is a must buy. It is also recommended to most casual gamers.

The gameplay found in Incredible Express HD is nothing revolutionary, but it is quite fun. It is a light-hearted take on simulation games for a touch interface, and a crowd used to time management games. The stale presentation, at times imprecise controls, and awful soundtrack are the clear weak points.

Ticket to Ride is the first time I've enjoyed playing with trains in 20 years. Should it have more content and a local play mode for the $6.99 asking price? I think so. Could it use a bit more in regards to social features and chat? Certainly! But that doesn't take away from the fact that it is a highly polished, and highly entertaining board game experience that will keep you coming back whenever you have 20-30 minutes to spare, and possibly even tempt you spend a few more bucks on it's add-ons.

I wish someone would figure a way to make a truly great full fledged hockey game for mobile, but for now this will hold many of us hockey fans over. If you like hockey (of the ice variety), then I would advise checking this game out.

If you want an audiovisual experience with a good story dream:scape is definitely recommended. As a game it lacks challenge, action and precise controls. It is better to view it as an interactive novel with slight puzzle elements than a game.

Black Matter is a really fun game with intense gameplay for the first 15 minutes of a new game. Then it starts playing itself, and it becomes as fun as watching weapons blasting enemies by themselves on a small screen. Not too fun.

BioArmy doesn't bring many new ideas to the table, but instead the focus is on game life and challenge. If you don't like tower defense games this won't change your opinion. If you on the other hand are a tower defense fan who like set path maps you will definitely enjoy Bio Army.

Good production values, and the new game modes make it appealing and if you have a friend nearby with an iPhone or iPod Touch this is a good way to settle who is the best commander.

AutoRobot TD is a basic set path tower defense game that suffers from being too easy, too hard to get information to make informed decision and lacking any kind of excitement. If you are a fan of the genre you will be disappointed.

Artillery Brigade is an arcade gallery shooter that is truly intense when it gets going. A subpar presentation, strange setting and even weirder story make it less appealing to recommend. It also shows exactly how not to integrate achievements.

Feels quite unpolished due to the lack of online features, limited character development and lacklustre music. It does however pose a great challenge to physics game fans, and unlike games like Angry Birds luck is not a big factor in Bug Chucker.

A great looking multiplatform castle defense game in the vein of Defender Chronicles. Poor twitchy controls, mundane story and a general lack of own identity draw the final rating down. It is still recommended to veterans of the genre.
