Tiki Towers 2 is both fun and frustrating at the same time.

FiveADay didn't grab me the same way that earlier Llamasoft games have, and somehow the subject matter feels more corny than wacky. Still it is a Llamasoft game, and as such has a high level of appeal to me both as a gamer and as a person with interest in game design. And I can't help but laugh at the messages between levels, as those are hilarious and changes depending on your performance.

Downloadable currencies and content aside, the base game of Kingdom Rush Frontiers is an enjoyable one, and it comes highly recommended to existing fans of the genre.

Although there isn't really a storyline to follow, and all you do is fly around and kill aircraft all the time, it is definitely on of those kinds of simple games that you can just pick up and play in case you need some time to kill.

There's also a cool multiplayer mode which sees you go up against three other players in an attempt to see who can crash first…excuse me, stay in the air the longest. It's an enjoyable extra.

So it's not perfect, but it is immaculately presented as well as self-aware.

Super Hexagon is tough, and that is clearly its defining feature. If you aren't up for a game that will frustrate you, stay away. High score chasers will feel right at home, if not outright delighted with what this simple but infuriating title has to offer.

Snappy Dragons 2 is quite fun, and easy to get into and play. The lack of polish, and memorable presentation makes it kind of feel a bit washed out. Given that it is a sequel I expected more than this. The good thing is that you do get hours of fun gameplay at a buck.

Yes, I do hate inconsistent framerates, but the original gameplay still shines though.

The game controls great and looks fantastic. The story might not be worth writing home about, but it at least paints a well known historical figure with a new twist. Was Noah a cold-hearted monster? Probably not, but at least Chillingo is willing to think outside the box.

Doodle God is a fun little casual game. It will keep you entertained for a bit, and you can pull it out in class or at a red light, create a new element or two, then tuck it back away before the teacher or police officer sees that you have it out.

It improves on the first game, but not enough to warrant the high price.

Overall the visuals really do steal the show. Strip all that back and underneath it is a pretty standard Super Sprint style racer.

So if you're the type of sadist that enjoys the thrill of unholy enemies zeroing in on you from all angles with barely a minute to catch your breath, then Mutant Storm is as pure an arcade shooter as you're going to find. Let it rain.

Le Havre is the most complete board game upon launch offering single player, pass and play and online multiplayer straight out of the box. It should have been cooked for a bit more to clean up the interface a bit, and given it retina resolution. Still it is a great adaption of the physical board game well worth diving into.

If you are just playing Mini Ninjas for a quick diversion and don’t get caught up in the implications that a paid system has on the scoring you are in for a treat. Those who want to sink tons of time and money into the title certainly can. I’d say that Square Enix has done a much better job at publishing a much better free to play title than they have in the past.

So it may not be a technological marvel, and the lack of truly disruptive power-ups is a little disappointing in a title like this, but gameplay is instantly addictive because it’s so damn simple. And because you don’t have to think too much with the Slaughter mode, it’s satisfying fun when you’re in need of a quick session.

I was driven to madness by a helicopter on the second to last level, but for the most part the game is not all so difficult. Gamers that want a decent 6 hour adventure should consider Conviction.

King Cashing is a great way to spend time, and it can be really exciting at the end of battles. At times the fact that it is a slot machine shines through, and then it feels all random and no skill.

Overall, the game is fun, but while there are plenty of unlocks, I just do not think it has enough variety to keep anyone coming back. That being said, it is a free game, and even if you get 45 minutes of solid entertainment from it, it is worth a download.

Diggin' Dogs borrows the perspective, and some of the control mechanics from the green crocodile from Disney, but in the end it is a completely unique experience. If you are looking for a challenging puzzler with a lot of game time, and cute dogs you can't go wrong with Diggin' Dogs.
