It's a more competent Harvest Moon than Natsume's last attempt, and I'd handily recommend it over the free-to-play farming games that were assuredly inspired by the original Harvest Moon games.

If timing games make you want to burn down a yoga studio, you might not get anything out of Namaste Space Buffalo despite its charm. But if you're up for a challenge, go ahead and enroll in space-school.

It’s a unique game with heart, and some really challenging Game Center achievements that I kind of want to go for.

If you enjoy interactive fiction and want to explore a dark story about the depths of Kentucky's wilderness, Buried should be just your thing.

In the end, how much you enjoy this game will be particularly subjective, depending on what you look for in an adventure game. If you’re OK with a slower pace, a slower start, and some ludicrous puzzles, or if you’re willing to tolerate them to enjoy a beautiful world with gorgeous, top notch art and music, you’ll find The Whispered World worthwhile.

At the end of the day, Punch Club is pretty awesome, and it uses nostalgia creatively.

If you're looking to shut your brain off for a while, check out Dashy Crashy. It sports a delightful, easy to digest cartoon art style, and gameplay that keeps you coming back for more.

It's exceptionally rare for a game that has both open world emergent gameplay and a linear main quest to not drop the ball on one of those things or the other, but Crashlands nails it on all counts. Consider this one an absolute essential.

I don't think there's enough here to keep the interest of those who aren't fans of TMNT, but if spending a day or two bashing scores of Foot soldiers with the brothers sounds like a good time to you, Portal Power won't let you down.

If you're into platformers, I'd give Jetpack Fighter a try. Don't let the free bit scare you off though, as you can get pretty far in without having to wait or spend a dime.

Rocket Ski Racing is a very solid game from a very solid developer, and I can’t wait to see what No Can Win puts out next.

With responsive controls and a uniquely programmed set of AI cars to navigate, this one will keep you busy for a while.

On the one hand, putting a Puzzle & Dragons style collecting/evolving system in a tower defense game is kind of cool and definitely leads to a fairly unique experience. On the other hand, it also makes the game feel considerably less strategic since in the back of your mind you know you can probably win any level if you collect the right cards and upgrade them enough.

If you're willing to put in the time and patience, however, Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead is among the best roguelikes currently available on the App Store. It's something you could find yourself playing for literal months if not longer, and it doesn't cost a thing. All of that is probably worth a little (okay, a lot) of discomfort with the control set-up.

Overall this is a surprisingly well constructed game and nitpicks aside, you owe it to yourself to dig into the game and ask why aren't there more big name Poke-clones out there.

Having said all that, Frank the Dillo is a great way to pass the time if you're looking for a golf-like game. It could use a few tweaks and some more content, but it works just fine all the same.

It's more like one of those oddities you stumble across buried in a collection of classics than a headliner on the front of the box, but Pick-Xell's enjoyable enough to be worth playing with for a little while.

The unusual mechanics make MetaHuman Inc. interesting from a gameplay point of view, but overall, I found this to be one of the weaker recent releases from Choice Of Games.

If you're into vehicular action games, you really can't go wrong with giving CaRRage a try. It suffers from a lack of personality at times, especially in regards to the soundtrack, but for a free game it offers up a whole lot more than a lot of paid experiences.

If you love ramen and have been waiting for a sim that captures all of the spills and thrills of running your own chain of shops, well, you might as well bite on The Ramen Sensei because I somehow doubt anyone's going to be doing it better than this.

If you can tolerate the initial confusion, though, Metro 2033: Wars does have some enjoyable surprises to share, and unlike most surprises you get in the subway, these ones are mostly welcome.
