The real question is whether or not I'll actually want to keep coming back for that long. I can't say for sure, but right now I really want to see what each day has to offer.

All too often do we see games like this too afraid to create a real challenge, yet Eager Beaver does that and does it well.

I have no doubts that we'll be back to business as usual before too long, but in the meantime, if you've been waiting for Kairosoft to try something different, you'll definitely want to check out Kairobotica.

Seashine is a game with a lot of spirit, great artistic direction, and a clever blend of wonder and terror.

Magical Delicacy is a game I should’ve loved given it is basically a blend of a Metroidvania and a crooking/crafting game, but it feels a little undercooked (I couldn’t resist) in parts thanks to some inventory and backtracking issues. While it is a very good game right now that feels at home on Switch, a few quality of life updates and polishing will make it an essential.

In my opinion, the games in this trilogy get a little better with each installment, but they more or less fall into the same ballpark of quality. Perhaps less accessible than the Ryza games, but well worth diving into for RPG fans.

Despite the game's relatively short length and lack of replay value, Murder Files offers a fun sleuthing experience, and I felt that it was definitely worth my time.

Robo Surf is lighthearted and fun, with enough hooks to turn it from a momentary distraction to one of my new favorites.

It's hitting all the Ace Attorney buttons, with a huge cast of crazy characters, engaging cases with lots of plot twists, and a funny, well-written localization propping it all up. I

Final Fantasy: Dimensions is exactly what it wants to be: a new story in a familiar setting and system. For gamers who want to return to those long hours they spent with old-school Final Fantasy games, it will be like discovering a new book by their favorite author.

Fans of gamebooks, especially those who may have been pining recently for a more typical entry into the genre, should certainly give this a look.

The levels get downright mind-bending, which seems at odds with the delicate look of the game. But Little Lambs is a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing, charming to look at, but with a lot of bite.

Really, the only reason to avoid this game is if you don’t like Zelda-style games or can’t deal with a game that can’t stop cracking jokes for even a split-second. In which case, I’m not sure why you’re even looking at a game called Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion.

At its core, AlphaBear isn't dramatically different from most other letter games, but between its few gameplay twists, the rewarding collection mechanic, and its infectiously silly and fun-loving nature, it's an easy game to fall for.

If you're not motivated by the high score chase, the game's done once you unlock all the hats. I'd love to see achievements and maybe a (cheerier) future level pack to pad the game out. An endless mode that actually gets harder and faster as you progress would be a nice addition, too.

So, is this game worth it? If you enjoy platformers, frogs, or reflex-based games, I think so! The controls can be a little iffy on the phone sometimes but everything about this really feels like a great job at taking an old, loved title and bringing it to 2019.

This is without a doubt the best version of Dragon Quest 2 we've had officially released in English, and if you enjoyed the recent release of the first game, you should have no concerns about jumping in here and taking on the next adventure.

While the game is a bit rough around the edges (right now it's not running properly on a handful of devices including the original iPad Mini) and certainly takes some time to get used to, David is definitely a game that's worth your attention.

Experiencing it again on Nintendo Switch has been great as this is the first time Life is Strange 2 is playable on a portable. Thanks to a competent conversion by the same studio that handled the Switch port for Life is Strange: True Colors, Life is Strange 2 is an easy recommendation for fans of the series and newcomers who want to play it on the go.

Those who found themselves fully absorbed in Metro Quester will find plenty to enjoy in Metro Quester | Osaka, and new players should probably just skip right to this game. It’s more of an expansion pack than a sequel, but that in no way should be taken as a bad thing. Rather, it just seems like the designer wanted to send players on another adventure that pushes out the existing systems in some fascinating ways. It’s certainly a game you’ll have to be patient with to get the most out of, but those willing to invest the time will enjoy the dividends.

If you're just looking for a good time with a JRPG that mixes things up a little without venturing too far off the beaten path, you might want to give this one a try, especially at an introductory or sale price.

If you’re craving an Etrian Odyssey-like experience on Nintendo Switch and like the aesthetic in Mary Skelter Finale, you will have a lot of fun with it. While it doesn’t push the envelope like Mary Skelter 2 did compared to the original, Mary Skelter Finale is a competent and quality DRPG for Nintendo Switch. It also helps that the Western release has a lot of free DLC available further building on the characters. This is easily one of Compile Heart’s best games.

The Pathless‘ mix of Breath of the Wild‘s exploration, Journey‘s wonder, and Giant Squid’s own signature feel make it well worth checking out. I’m glad it has gotten a conversion that’s better than expected on Switch. If you’ve not played it before and would like to own and play it on a portable, The Pathless on Nintendo Switch is an easy recommendation.

Made up of beautiful, 16-bit-esque graphics, tight controls, and a relationship between hero and jailer that unfolds in a fascinating way, Freedom Fall is one of the most solid and unique platformers I've played in quite some time.
