Coco Loco isn't a strikingly original game, even without the checklist of familiar interface elements, but it is one of the most thoroughly solid and entertaining physics puzzle games I've played in some time.

There may be some aspects that time and later iterations have improved upon, sure. But you can definitely understand why this work is a classic, and whatever flaws time has revealed pale in comparison to the quality of the original experience.

Despite the lack of any compelling, original features, I had a really good time making my way through Planet Cube: Edge. It has its fundamentals down pat and the level designs are pleasantly challenging without getting too ridiculous. Checkpoints are frequent and restarts are swift, so even when it turns up the heat it never feels too unfair. Definitely worth a look if you’re a fan of platformers where you die a few hundred times, but unlikely to change any minds on the matter.

Two Point Campus: School Spirits is a good DLC that feels a bit overpriced compared to the superlative Space Academy pack from late last year. In a vacuum, Two Point Campus: School Spirits is brilliant, and I still recommend it for anyone who has been regularly playing Two Point Campus, but it feels a bit lacking overall, and it is held back by the Switch version not offering a proper and stable experience. I hope Two Point Campus gets patched to be more stable as we lead into the next major DLC for the game in the future on Switch.

While its emphasis of tilt inputs may seem counterproductive and unnatural for the precision demanded of ultra-hard platformers, Collect or Die fully embraces both its unusual control scheme and its reverence of past platforms such as Mario to carve its own niche out on the App Store.

The only real down side to Extreme Sheepdog Trials is the amount of levels. Currently there are three different packs with five levels each. Some of them are very difficult and will take a while to complete, but it still would be nice to see more.

A quick, cute, and warm puzzle title with a fun mechanic and a few fun twists.

Regardless of what the future holds, Access Denied was a fun episode with some interesting - yet not very original - questions and critiques. It definitely was a shift from the previous episode and had a slightly lighter tone at times, which was welcome.

I'm not sure I needed a game in my life with the same hooks used by both Dungeon Raid and Triple Town-each of those alone ate hours and hours of my life. Now that I have it, though, there's no giving Puzzle Craft up.

Beat Sports by Harmonix is a game that should be crazy amounts of fun. Think about it: it was only 7 or 8 years ago that Wii Sports and Guitar Hero were both the go-to party games when you had friends and family over. Imagine combining them! Unfortunately, shaking a remote around is just not precise enough to work reliably in a rhythm game.

The issues I have with Missileman preclude it from being an exceptional must-have in my eyes in the way that I'd say Downwell is a game you have to play. But, I love the core idea, and keep coming back to Missileman in order to keep trying to do better at it. The queasiness of the backgrounds is a huge turn-off, and I suggest watching some video of the game in order to see if it might be for you or not. If you can stomach it, give Missileman a shot, as it's a cool indie gem from Japan with a lot going for it.

For now, WWE Immortals is a great new option for fans of Injustice, and it's a great experience for those who are simply fans of the WWE.

This is an interesting game that I had a good time with. Also, there's a lot of whacking stuff with a stick, which is especially satisfying. Heck, the joy of whacking stuff with a stick justifies much of the experience. I recommend Pan-Pan, and hope Spelkraft has more mobile titles planned in the future!

I can't speak to its faithfulness to the subject matter, but it feels like it's very respectful towards it, while still keeping things approachable and fun for the layperson. Fiz: The Brewery Management Game isn't perfect, but it's a very strong first effort for Bit By Bit Studios, and I hope they stick around in the sim scene.

Hellrider is an engaging little runner that uses ads in a way that most games should. Although it's not as long-lasting as a lot of other similar titles on the market, it's definitely worth picking up for at least an afternoon to quickly unlock everything and ride into the sunset.

With a great menu system driving the entire game, excellent AI, and the ability to micro-manage almost everything you could dream of in a sports game, it's hard to want anything else of a mobile baseball management sim.

While Crystal Souls has been available for PC for awhile now, I think that the iPad version has a better control scheme. Hence, I have no problem saying that Crystal Souls should be considered the definitive version and I’m very happy to see it make its return on the iPad.

All in all, it’s a lot of fun. I wish the monster energy worked differently, but otherwise it’s the same kind of timer based freemium stuff you’re either OK with or you’re not at this point. There are some visual bugs that are annoying, like not displaying the amount something costs, or always showing you a “new” upgrade to a building every single time you log in. Minor stuff, mostly, just annoying. Re-organizing your town as it grows can be very satisfying. If it sounds like you’d enjoy this game, you probably will.

Although the appeal of its endless mode probably won't last for a lot of you out there, Spingun has a great premise, a cute bit of in-game lore, and mobile-centric controls that all really come together. I had a blast learning how to control its crazy little ship, and a new game that added a story mode feels like a natural evolution of a formula that already works.
