I think it's easy to tell why I like this game, and if you like strategy games with character and strategy games that play great on mobile despite their board game origins, Heroes of Normandie is definitely for you.

The game unfolds in entertaining and challenging ways that I can’t share in great depth (again, I would be spoiling a lot of the fun if I did so), but I will say that what starts as a simple card game becomes a story-creation engine that includes summoning alien gods, sacrificing friends and foes alike, founding cults, and much more. Just be prepared to discover this world as you go along, as long as you don’t mind losing your sanity (thankfully only in terms of the game) along the way.

A perfect example of how to take a simple puzzle game to the next level, Tales of the Adventure Company is an awesome game that everyone needs to check out.

I am immensely enjoying Dragalia Lost. Just like Super Mario Run did for the time honored runner genre, so does Dragalia Lost do for social RPGs. It follows the formula and makes key improvements along the way. After hours of playinng I have yet to come close to running out of energy yet. The gameplaay, graphics and story all shine out above competition within the social RPG genre. If you can wrap your head around the departure from usual Nintendo fare, you’ll be rewarded with a gem of a game.

All in all, STANDBY is a brutally difficult and precise platformer that will frustrate you to the point of loving it. It has distinct visuals, heart-pumping music, great level designs, and responsive touch controls. It's difficulty might turn-off some people but it's incredibly rewarding when you persevere to increase your skill and complete its challenging levels. Make sure to check out our forums to see how your times measure up to others and don't forget to leave impressions of your own!

Orborun is a very fun game, but only if you can tolerate a pretty decent challenge.

As noted above, there are a few areas for improvement, but I don’t think they detract too much overall. Simply put, I highly recommend that folks pick it up.

The developers have clearly done their homework on the genre and as a result, even with a stage count edging on the lower side, the game still has nearly infinite replayability.

It was already a must play for anyone looking for a good story and great music and it is more accessible than ever before thanks to iOS and Android releases of such a high quality. Even if you try and rush through it (which I wouldn’t recommend), you will find yourself enthralled for over 20 hours here. I can’t wait for Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair to arrive because it is my favourite of the trilogy. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition is well worth your time.

Rather, Deep Dungeons of Doom takes the meth dealer's route to revenue generation: the first taste is always free. But you'll come crawling back with open purse strings when you reach the end of your dose. Consider the free download a lengthy trial period. But don't worry, it's got enough meat to sink three bucks worth of teeth into.

Thankfully, Agar.io is actually free, and doesn't have any IAP of any kind yet. Although it could stand to use a few tweaks over time, for all these reasons and more, I highly recommend it.

All of its pieces fit snug and everything you do contributes to a whole package. It's also one of its most wide-reaching games, combining social and sim aspects from all over the place.

There might be something inherently disturbing about Incredipede and its little hero, with all her muscled limbs and boney feet, but that's easy to forget. She's a charmer, that one, with her expressive eye and tenacious will. And like its hero, Incredipede charms. Behind every frustration is a challenge to be solved—better, faster, or with infinitely more limbs. It's a small scale for playing God, but creation sure is fun.

While there are some improvements that can be made here, particularly with regards to features like iCloud support and control placement options, it’s really hard to think of many compelling reasons why a person shouldn’t buy Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for their mobile device. It’s three measly dollars for a solid port of one of the finest games of all-time, one that even allows you to use a controller if you really can’t get on with the manageable virtual buttons. I really hope this isn’t just a one-off for Konami as I’d love to see more of the Castlevania games or the company’s PlayStation library make the jump, but we all know how this usually goes. For now, let’s just enjoy what we’ve got here: a wonderful pile of secrets.

Overall however, I think Pocket Trains makes a lot of strides with its core gameplay, making it the sort of logistical title that I think Pocket Planes aspired to be. Suffice to say, there's really no reason not to check out Pocket Trains, and I highly recommend everyone giving it a try.

Wedding Escape is a great little puzzler with a funny theme and enough variation from standard match-three tropes to make a mark. It could use a little tweaking in terms of how it rewards players, but odds are you'll be playing for hours at a time right after downloading it.

If you enjoy arcade-style score attack action games, Galacticon is a must-have. While it isn’t hard to identify where it draws inspiration from, the overall experience threads the needle of being fresh and vaguely nostalgic all at once. It’s a bit no-nonsense, with only a single mode and a small set of options, but the QR code-based high score chart ensures you’ve always got a reason to come back. Great fun.

Arctic Eggs. What a game. What an experience. In this super busy month of quality indie games hitting non stop, I think Arctic Eggs will stick with me for a long time. While it isn’t ideal on Steam Deck out of the box, the community control layout made it my favorite way to experience Arctic Eggs. The soundtrack, aesthetic, and vibe are superb here. It’s time to fry eggs and change lives.

While this may not be the definitive version of Final Fantasy VI, it’s close enough to the best to be worth it. It handily replaces the previous version we had on mobile, and some of its improvements make it worth another trip for those who have already played it in any of its other forms. Some of the lingering faults found in previous Pixel Remasters frustratingly reoccur here, and the whole exercise does have a vague sense of pointlessness about it in light of just how little it improves on the original. Still a great version of an all-timer, and that’s more than enough.

If you liked Tower of Fortune, this is a no-brainer. The sequel is everything that game was and so much more. If you haven't played the first game, I'd almost say there's no point in doing so now that this is here. If you don't like roguelikes, stay away, but otherwise, this game is well worth playing.

I was never under the impression that the first game made all that much money, so I never actually expected a sequel to get made. The fact that it exists and brings so much to the table is a miracle to me. Yes there is room for improvement, and yes the free to play model and slow pace of unlocking stuff might turn off some. Hardcore players of the original might be turned off initially due to the differences in this sequel, I know I certainly was at first, but the game really does grow on you as you get used to what's new and slowly let go of what you've known. I urge you to stick with it as the brilliance of Disc Drivin' 2 slowly reveals itself. This is a true evolution of a classic formula, and one I know I'll be sticking with for a very long time to come.

Even if you don’t care or know about Among Us, the Vampire Survivors Emergency Meeting DLC is an essential purchase. It is just wild and crazy in the funniest possible ways while delivering so much through the characters, weapons, stage, and adventure included. I can’t wait to see what poncle does next for collaboration DLC, and Vampire Survivors Emergency Meeting is something I’m going to play a ton over the coming weeks as I try and unlock everything on all platforms. If you’ve not played Vampire Survivors in a while, grab this DLC (and prior DLC) and get back. Vampire Survivors deserves it. Hats off to poncle for this one. Both figuratively and in-game.
