Ultimately, Justice Monsters Five feels less like a game meant to stand in the long term and more like a promotional app. That very well may be all it's meant to be. If that's its aim, it fails to accomplish the goal of generating excitement for Square's impending big bet. It's neither a very interesting game nor a window into the universe of Final Fantasy 15.

Given everything about Riptide GP: Renegade that's new and improved, this is easily the definitive game in the series. Newbies should go straight to this game in the Riptide series and not just because it skimps on the IAP. For veterans, Renegade's not that different, but it's worth returning for Vector Unit's strongest Riptide yet.

This game, like many Warhammer games, gives plenty of signs that there's a huge, interesting universe, it just needs to do more to be welcoming to someone who's curious enough to find out more, but wants some guidance. And the rest of the experience isn't good enough to really justify non-Warhammer fans checking this out.

If you played the original and loved it, Space Marshals 2 is a better version of that. If you were on the fence in part because of the original game's stealth handling, the new stealth kills might help you out. At its core, Legend of the Skyfish is just a game with a winning premise that its developers cultivated into reaching as much of its potential as possible. The main plot is interesting and the characters seem to have had a lot of effort put into them, but the English text could really use a few more editing passes. Ultimately, I think it's best taken as an extension of the original game, but I think I'd rather just play that instead.

If you're looking to feel a rush pretty much at all times, battling danger left and right while you build your new utopia, directly interacting with other hostile players, look elsewhere.
