Perhaps the most impressive part of NBA2k2’s presentation is not the graphics, sumptuous as they are, but the audio. The commentary in this game is wonderful, the best in any sports game to put it simply.

If trudging your way through uninspired level after level, button bashing through a bunch of mindless drones to finish up with some of the most unimaginative bosses in videogames history is your idea of fun then go for it.

A game caught in confusion, in one aspect Smilebit have tried to speed up the gameplay and streamline it, yet in removing the time limit and cops that said immediacy is completely lost, what’s the point in whizzing around all of the levels if you have all the time in the world.

Whilst some of the levels have a good degree of detail unfortunately for most of them they lack inspiration and are actually quite dull.

It's visual splendour; novel yet neat additions and generally tight gameplay will ensure the time until the next ISS goes that little bit quicker, OK I'll admit it I'm hooked.

Whilst it has no major failings there is nothing to mark Pirates: Legend of Black Kat out from the crowd other than the merging of the two styles of play.

I feel that I have been proven wrong once again by this game. It doesn’t have to [be] a true simulation to enjoy the game.

I find it a real shame that the whole tactical side was dropped, as not only would controlling a mob add more depth it now seems that the use of hundreds of AI characters has been a complete waste of time.

WWF fans will go ape with RAW, the whole wrestling experience has never been so faithfully recreated and there’s a wide selection of wrestlers to choose from plus the extensive Create-A-Wrestler mode to play with.

Its frustrating gameplay could have easily become tiring, but they’ve got the balance just right to ensure you carry on playing, knowing that you can get that little bit further with a little bit of practise.

The graphics might not exactly be draw dropping but the experience is certainly entertaining.

For me Super Mario World is the greatest Mario game ever, now that it's on the GameBoy Advance both my sleep and relationship are beginning to suffer, I simply can't put it down.

The GBA’s Achilles heel once again rears its ugly head, unless playing under bright light identifying the colour of the gems is a nightmare, as not only can you not determine the colour but the sprites are too small as well.

The problem is that there’s not enough depth or variety in the missions, the only reason to carry on through the game is to see the next set of stunning visuals, which you have to say are reason alone to at least rent this.

A classic example of style with substance to match, a 'cool' title if you will, that’s bound to impress.

Special mention going to the sound effects and music which are superb, every blow and block is recreated whilst a thumping tune plays in the background.

As a sequel it does not offer that much more than the original, but it polishes it up and is no doubt a better game, and what more could you ask for from a sequel of this nature?

Those who enjoyed the micro management of the first title, may be disillusioned by the slightly trivial nature of this compared to the first title. However the game becomes much more enjoyable after the first few hours.

The graphics are polished, the sound is atmospheric and helps create a realistic environment and if that wasn't enough the Artificial Intelligence is second to none (well maybe Halo).

One of the most groundbreaking titles around... a truly unique ‘game’ and of the finest Sega created titles ever, one that everybody can play yet it’s individuality will divide gamers into those that love it and those that don’t.

A fun and enjoyable game that is immediately accessible. Those who like vehicle combat games will love Blood Wake, it’s everything you’d want. However the game is quite short.

One key improvement over the PS2 version is the lack of load times. Whereas levels had to be chopped up in that version the Xbox allows them to be loaded in the same way as the PC original, virtually eliminating any load times and keeping the sense of immersion high.

It is the best version around, but it’s because the game is just so much fun that people should pick this one up. If you’ve own the PS2 version or have played it before, there’s not much point.

The overly detailed and crisp textures have been downgraded, character models sport lower polygon counts, on occasion the framerate becomes extremely choppy.

Despite having good structure, control, sound and graphics as well as a kickass level editor the game is just not as much fun as it could be because of the problems with control.

It's not perfect, when the different styles fail to gel the game can become frustrating, however when it does, it offers one of the best FPS experiences around.
