With the addition of rivals mode, gamebreaker, and the advent of the shape stick there's enough to keep players occupied at least until the release of the Xbox 360 despite some of the visual shortcomings of the game.

This set isn't a horrible beginning for those looking to introduce themselves to the Metal Slug series, but last years Metal Slug 3 offers up no unlimited continues, the original development team's work, and a much more "Metal Slug" feel.
