While I thought NFL GameDay made some strides against the NFL competition, I don't think GameBreaker holds a candle to "NCAA."

The AI is weak, scoring is plentiful on both sides of the ball, and there is little strategy involved. Enjoying the game is made even more difficult by sloppy controls.

While there is no doubt in my mind that NFL 2k3 is the most realistic football game on the market, I am not sold that is the most fun. Madden does play at a faster pace, but it is much easier to pick up on and scoring is much easier.

Apart from having cool flatland tricks and an interesting road-trip theme, Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 is rather stale.

After playing GD 2003, I won't think of the series as a laughingstock anymore. The game has earned my respect, but it still has a while to go.

With the new minicamp, rookie scouting, improved DB AI as well as the create-a-play feature, this game is definitely fun in the long term. Add that in with the existing franchise mode from last year and it only gets better.

For a first year title, the learning curve is somewhat excusable, however, you have to draw the line at repeating those same mistakes the second time around.

The combination of solid game play, entertaining commentary, and unparalleled replay value make NCAA 2003 one of the best sports games ever.

If it weren't for the remarkable performance of the play-by-play duo this score would be much lower. If you can somehow master the entire manual switching and controlling, Slugfest might be a fun game. I just can't get over how frustrating the game was.

Essentially "SSX" on dirt with a couple of obvious and notable gameplay differences, plus more adrenaline and attitude.

Hardcore racing fans might get a kick out of it, but the rest of the crowd would get content just beating it over a couple day rental.

The close camera makes the game less of a sim in that passing is hit or miss. The AI tends to show hints of brilliance followed by complete idiocy.

The AI is a mixed bag. As mentioned before, their pitch selection along with their swing selection are realistic. However, the AI base running is not good at all.

The online capability is a step in the right direction, but I think the game needs a complete overhaul of its interface and feature list to once again recapture its spot on the top of the hill.

What's the difference between EA Sports' Fifa series and a dairy cow? A dairy cow is only milked for 3 years...

This game takes the Steve Spurrier/Mike Martz offensive philosophy - PASS, PASS, and PASS again - and mixes it with a lethal combination of steroids and fire in order to give the most barbaric fan what they want.

I have played all three PS2 baseball games and TP is by far the most entertaining in terms of scoring a lot of runs, racking up a lot of strikeouts, and looking at eye candy. To hold TP to a simulation-standard would be putting it in the wrong genre.

An average basketball game...All in all, Visual Concepts didn't really push the bar too much as they've done in previous versions.

For overall quality, it's stuck somewhere between a rock (a solid "NBA 2K2" title) and a hard place (the underachieving "NBA Live 2002").

A new, non-Fifa (i.e. non-totally crap) soccer experience for North American soccer fans and, as I said before, it's not a horrible game - on the lower difficulty levels it's reasonably fun and it also has a ton of teams and competitions.

If you can get past some of the sloppy control and strong defensive qualities of the game (including a too-effective poke check), you'll find a game completely opposite all other arcade based titles on the market.
