  1. It just oozes potential with sharp dialogue and a strong cast.
  2. Definitely worth your time.
  3. While it hardly breaks new TV ground or sends off the kind of sparks you want in a first-rate drama, the series has a certain watchable quality to it.
  4. "Free Ride" is crude, mean-spirited, and not nearly as fresh and innovative as the producers think it is.
  5. Bening provides the spark that drives "Mrs. Harris," keeping its darkly funny irony from degenerating into campy humor.
  6. I guess this is supposed to be another "feel-good" reality show, but it comes off more like an exercise in wretched excess.
  7. It's a rip-off (and not a particularly well-executed one) of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
  8. This season's opening four hours are as good as anything the series has ever done.
  9. Next Thursday's outing is much better [than the pilot], suggesting the series could generate some laughs over the long haul.
  10. "The Book of Daniel" turns out to be something rare to network television these days. It is a rich family drama that isn't afraid of dealing with real issues in a real way and with humor, falling somewhere between "Six Feet Under" and the late, lamented "Once and Again."
  11. While it's always good to see Burnett, something has gone seriously awry with this new version.
  12. While it is more intriguing than gripping, the drama has considerable power in its best moments, many of which will come in the last episodes.
  13. Anything remotely resembling complexity and nuance has been sacrificed to cramming six decades of history into two hours of airtime, minus commercials.
  14. I suspect that if I were a 10-year-old girl -- which I'm not -- I would love this film... That being said, I can still recommend the movie because, despite some sugary-sweet moments,... [it] isn't condescending to its young target audience and actually has some bite to it.
  15. As bad as the original was, the sequel is even worse.
  16. A gripping show.
  17. Dead on arrival in the laughs department.
  18. A lame, tawdry sitcom with unfunny sex jokes.
  19. Warm, clever, appealing and a lot of fun.
  20. A pedestrian, predictable crime procedural.
  21. "Commander'' looks good, summons up some real energy in key scenes and establishes a certain warmth in its portrayal of the Allen family.
  22. It's all shamelessly manipulative, but the show has real heart.
  23. [It has] a rich mix of sharp observant humor and a sure feel for the family dynamic.
  24. Both tonight's opening episode and next week's installment are predictable, loaded with cliched dialogue and lacking in the tension you want in this kind of show.
  25. "Invasion'' has the look of a winner.
  26. Manages to be crude and sweet, smart and splendidly stupid, all at the same time.
  27. This is a cast that jells immediately, hitting on all cylinders from the very first scene.

  28. The writing is sharp and sophisticated, avoiding the predictable sitcom cliches.
  29. Baruchel and Johnson (who is quite appealing in his role) have real chemistry.
  30. "Threshold" seems to have a lot going for it. A good bunch of writers. Classy production. One of the season's quirkiest and most appealing casts,... Whether all these high-quality ingredients result in an intoxicating sci-fi stew remains to be seen.
