The game is almost flawlessly presented and the CG movie that opens it is probably one of the best to grace the PlayStation 2.

    • 62 Critic Score
The game feels fairly lacklustre and gets old fairly quickly.
    • 80 Metascore
    • 74 Critic Score
Despite some linear missions the game tends to ooze replay value in the form of freedom and variation.
    • 81 Metascore
    • 80 Critic Score
Graphics are smooth and clean and detail in the game is never compromised with interactive surroundings, excellent weapon effects and great animation of the action taking place.

I shall finish by saying that if there were a good puzzle in this game it would be “Why would anybody actually buy it?” Thank you for your attention. Good Day.

As a single player title the game feels a little hacked together and is hard to recommend to anyone other then the most hardcore Resident Evil fans.

Despite my complaints Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps puts in a good performance and is worth a look, especially if you like strategy games that require you to think fast and react quickly to events on the battlefield.
    • 73 Metascore
    • 66 Critic Score
Whilst a little slow paced the game does offer a little variety in the form of puzzles and although the path through the game seems very ‘forced’ it is still intriguing to play through if just for short periods of time.
    • 74 Metascore
    • 70 Critic Score
The character development system seems a little basic and unfinished and the amount of bugs in the game really is unacceptable.
    • 65 Metascore
    • 68 Critic Score
Repetition and the simplicity of the gameplay may put off a few gamers but on the whole the game is good enough to go back to more than once enhancing its replay value with a good selection of unlockables.

Unlike most games the bad guys in Far Cry really do have a mind of their own so its not just a case of running through and popping the odd enemy here and there, the mercenaries in this game are highly clued up and will detect you whether you move slowly, take cover or simply make them paranoid, you will not get past these guys easily.

For the first time ever, I don't think I have any complaints whatsoever.

Lush environments help to feed the games realism value along with detailed and nicely animated character models.

A good game with addictive gameplay and brilliant stealth action.
    • 66 Metascore
    • 72 Critic Score
A decent game with realistic if not frustrating driving sequences and an intriguing storyline.
    • 77 Metascore
    • 80 Critic Score
The shooting can become a little repetitive at times but I'm guessing the average gamer will be able to look beyond this for the sheer enjoyment of the rest of the game.

One of those games where even though you keep getting killed you can't help but go back for more just to progress that little bit further.

It seems ironic that in Square Enix’s attempts to make a game appealing to fans of two genres they have actually created a game that features pretty standard gameplay and may not attract its intended audience.

The game's sound also deserves top marks with unique environmental fitting music and excellent combat sound effects.
    • 79 Metascore

Thankfully the game does feature an excellent soundtrack with songs coming from artists such as Slipknot, A.F.I, The Distillers, Faith No More, Metallica, The Misfits, Dope and Disturbed.

It doesn’t really excel in any one area or instantly grab your attention.

Everything or Nothing had the potential to be a great game but feels a little like a jigsaw puzzle that hasn’t been put together right.

What makes this game a winner for me is the fact that it combines two of my favourite genres brilliantly and manages to achieve the best of both.
    • 80 Metascore

The storyline is nothing outstanding but it serves its purpose and sets the scene for the adventures and battles that are to follow.

Due to its overall poor design the game seems to of become nothing more then a mass of space shooting sequences.

A bit of polish wouldn’t have gone amiss here.
    • 81 Metascore

Despite being a massive fan of the franchise I couldn’t help but feel that the whole thing is starting to get old, despite the new features the games structure is basically the same.
    • 62 Metascore
    • 66 Critic Score
Too much repetition, too many boring cut scenes and lack of variety make this game a very average playing experience.
    • 82 Metascore

An intriguing story telling adventure game that manages to get players engrossed in the gameplay in the hope of working out what happens next.

Although Multiplay is probably the largest part of the appeal, single play also works well and races are kept fun and varied if not a little easy to win.
