Although it is a low budget production it achieves in creating a really intense and frightening atmosphere. Resident Evil Revelations 2 makes a turn to the series' roots but with a more action profile.

Despite various shortcomings like lack of polish in combat, some disorientating segments set in three dimensions and a very short duration, it manages to maintain a satisfactory level of quality through its unique world, beautiful, artistic design and pure enjoyment. Woolfe - Red Hood Diaries is a "fair-y" game after all.

Battlefield: Hardline would have fared better if it didn't have to "lift" the heavy title of the Battlefield series. If you are looking for a fun pick-up-and-play multiplayer shooter, look no further. Hardline is a satisfying, over-the-top multiplayer experience. If, on the other hand, you are in for a Battlefield game, look back on previous Battlefield releases. Hardline is not Battlefield.

Featuring extraordinary writing and the rare ability to completely invest the player into its characters, Telltale's Game Of Thrones stands amongst and actually surpasses the famed TV series' best moments. A high watermark for interactive storytelling and one of the most emotionally resonant experiences you're bound to have with a video game this year.

With a very interesting and harrowing stealth approach to Evil Within's core, The Assignment proves to be an exemplary DLC. Not only does it explain some of the campaign's more obscure points but it also includes two terrifically tense boss fights. Even if a player did not enjoy the main game so much, the different dynamics of the Assignment make it a very worthwhile proposal for fans of survival horror.

AAA level writing, voice-acting and storytelling, Chapters was lovingly made for the Dreamers, the rabid fans awaiting for the continuation of Zoe's story ever since '06. In spite of the obvious limitations of the Unity engine, the game, much like it's predecessors, transcends the medium's limitations in order to deliver the next chapter in one of interactive fiction's most poignant sagas. The uninitiated will be completely mystified and off-put, but the original Dreamers, the ones who helped fund Chapters, are in for the ride of their lives.

Despite the high level of difficulty, Ori and the Blind Forest is one of the best of its kind. Considering the excellent presentation and the lovable fairy tale atmosphere, it is certain that the experience will be firmly imprinted in your memory.

Decay: The Mare is a pure horror game. Even if it does not quite succeed as an adventure game, its great atmosphere and music is more than enough reason to give it a chance.

Episode 3 highlights the collaboration between characters in a better way than its predecessors. Taking under consideration the terrifying atmosphere, it can be easily named as the best episode in the series so far.

Episode Two continues in the same vein as the first, at the same time ramping up the tension and the survival horror elements. An all around more solid offering.

Atlas Mugged retains Telltale's baseline of excellence in writing, but a fairly short duration as well as a more conventional course of action than the riot of Zer0 Sum make for a comparatively tame episode. Fans of the series will be greatly pleased but Telltale seems at times to battle the very expectations its high standards have created.

Rebels represents an absolute high water mark for video game writing and episodic gaming in particular. It expands in every possible way upon Reborn, maintaining unparalleled storytelling, presentation and voice-acting, whilst introducing very well crafted puzzles, an epic sense of scale and technical improvements across the board. If Chapters continues in this vein, it is destined for greatness.

Just like the Holy Inquisition was a black spot in the history of mankind, due to convicting innocent people to death, TIconBLU convicts its own game to be nothing more than a black spot in the history of adventure games. A disastrous second part of an interesting opening chapter.

White Night practically drips with gorgeous neo-Teutonic expressionist visuals and maintains a foreboding, suffocating atmosphere not felt since the first Alone In The Dark game. The occasional camera issues and deliberately old school save system prevent it from achieving it's full potential but this is a very strong, atmospheric offering that will keep you playing long into the night.

Oddworld New'n'Tasty is the best remake of a game I have played so far, a true testament to the love and respect the devs of Just Add Water have for the original Abe's Oddysee. Even old Oddworld fans will find themselves amazed by the stunning visuals and the general redesign the title offers. A must-buy.

Aaru's Awakening is a fiendishly hard game that harkens back to an era where side scrolling games were made for patient and persistent gamers. Fans of the genre will appreciate the nostalgia trip but it's possible that some of them will be put off from its high difficulty and unforgiving gameplay. If you think you' re up to the challenge, then you should check it out, especially at a discount.

Oblitus is a unique game. If you seek an easy and relaxed platform game then you should probably look elsewhere. Those, however, who enjoy video games with exploration and challenges, then Oblitus is certainly a little gem to add to your collection.

Space Hulk: Ascension Edition achieves its goal of enriching last year's effort in terms of gameplay and single player content. It's definitely a worthwhile purchase provided that you are willing to accept some of the game's idiosyncrasies that stem from Space Hulk's board game roots.

The unique art direction, amazing soundtrack and dark atmosphere of a well-written story combine together into a very pleasant surprise for 2015 and an ideal debut for OhNoo Studio. If only it had voice-overs too, it would easily reach an even higher level of quality.

Delightful hand drawn graphics frame a short but ultimately winning and atmospheric introduction to the point and click adventure game genre. Hallin's work is quite impressive for a one-man project and is evidence of his potential as a designer if given a full production team.

It's larger, more beautiful, more difficult, better in every aspect compared it its predecessor. At the same time, it proves that Kickstarter as well as Steam Early Access can significantly contribute to the very high quality of a game. I don't like being led to hasty conclusions, but via "The Book of Unwritten Tales 2" King Art Games manages to put Daedalic Entertainment, as well as any other developer, in a very difficult position regarding the creation of the best adventure game for 2015. A true masterpiece of its genre.

Attila offers a new "horde" mechanic and re-introduces obsolete game-play elements like the family trees progression back into the Total War series. In general, it should be considered a much better version of Rome 2 in every aspect, in a more interesting historical setting. Should you find yourself in a dilemma between Rome II: Emperor Edition and Attila, I would definitely suggest the latter.

Dying Light is an excellent effort from Techland and perhaps the ultimate sleeper hit of 2015. Definitely it could be better in areas such as storytelling and the variety of the secondary activities, but the robust gameplay mechanisms and the long duration of the main campaign will satisfy your survival-horror needs and will make you look forward for the inevitable sequel.

Hot Tin Roof has a fantastic soundtrack and a game world I'd love to see explored as a full blooded adventure game. In its current incarnation, the heart and love that went into its making shows, but unfortunately, so do the unraveling seams at the edges. Problematic world navigation and inconsistent writing detract from being truly immersed in one of the more original game settings of recent years.
