Portal is really good. It’s an excellent appetizer for the likely future of the series, be it on a more intricate sequel, additional contents (that are already a certainty), or even the integration of the idea on Half-Life.

The storytelling is captivating in solo mode, and multiplayer is still addictive, for those who enjoyed the previous game.

Army of Two is a shooter with several qualities. It has a number of flaws, but the solid and well thought-out action more than makes up for it.

Ultimate Ninja Storm is clearly essential for fans, but it is actually a good game, able to please a vast audience, even if they're not familiar with the anime.

Once again, Football Manager raises the bar and ends up as the undisputed champion of its genre, mainly due to the gigantic and regularly updated database.

Wario Land: The Shake Dimension is another wave from Nintendo that ripples through our minds, proving that old formulas and seemingly ancient technology can still deliver great games to the gaming community.

Savage 2 is a good game, fairly original, focused on team play. The organization of clans where everybody knows their role adds to the excitement.

This year's edition is a worthy addition, although not considerably different from previous iterations but still manages to offer a polished experience that fans won't miss.

Race Driver: Create & Race is a very competent game, well thought out and executed. It contains everything that the racing fans could expect from the DS, while retaining the spirit of the series.

Seen on its whole, PES 2008 has all the virtues of the series, managing to be fun and thrilling. However, as a new edition, it's far from essential.

Overall, Crysis Warhead is an excellent stand alone, not to be missed by fans of the first game.

Sonic Chronicles may be hard to recommend to those who fancy Sonic for its sheer speed, but this is an RPG that uses the characters in completely appropriate ways.

LocoRoco 2 may play it safe, choosing not to mess with a successful formula, but it adds a few nice twists here and there.

Wii Fit has its highs and lows, but comprises a range of games that encourages us to return to the workout. It's not for every player, but for those who like to exercise.
