In many ways a lightweight exploration game, nevertheless Tiny Lights' demonstrates a certain charm that's a joy to play.

Eversoul is a visually stunning gacha RPG with beautiful characters and even more beautiful animations. It has everything you need in an idle game on mobile, and while I'm not entirely sure it has enough of an appeal to make new players stay, it's still worth giving a go as your mileage may vary - it's free-to-play, after all.

Primitives is an admirably unique and challenging puzzle game, though some control issues keep it from greatness.

Gorgeous visuals and a fun Fruit Ninja mini-game help liven up this city-builder.

While it might not be the most innovative or original game in the world, King Oddball is still an awful lot of fun.

Absorption has some nice ideas, and aside from a few niggles, it's well worth a look.

Dementium: The Ward comes in a pretty wrapper, offering an entertaining first-person adventure light on fright. Not the best candy in the basket, then, but it's certainly still worth a bite.

Magnetized isn't quite up there with the best of its challenging ultra-modern kind, but it's a worthwhile and novel casual game nonetheless.

It takes some getting used to, but stick with this and you'll find a platformer of real quality.

iBomber 3 manages to refresh its own concept and add real value to an incremental update. A great wingman for fans of the original.

Miitopia has charm in spades, but its casual brand of JRPG might be a little too light and fluffy for some.

Visually smart and with at least a little imagination, Blockwick 2 is the best sliding-block game around - although that still amounts to only a good iOS game.

Legends of the Titan is the perfect definition of niche RPG gaming, catering for the hardcore but leaving more casual players in the lurch.

Audio Defence expertly executes on a clever idea. But it's more of a fun gimmick than a game you'll want to keep coming back to.

In the unlikely case that you're a complete newcomer to WWII shooters, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is well worth a look. However, it doesn't add anything to the series besides another reliably decent episode and a generous multiplayer game.

Worms Revolution Extreme is a good Worms game, with solid controls and great multiplayer action. But it is just another Worms game, and we're a little bit sick of those.

The whole thing is complete nonsense. But it's the sort of thing you'll want to pop in to every now and then. It's no Pokemon GO, not by a long shot, but it is a fun diversion from an otherwise awful world.

There are a lot of moving parts in Potion Permit, and it does the majority of them very well, but therein lies its weakness for me. I had fun with it all, but it never excelled in any of these areas enough to become a fantastic game. For $6.99, definitely buy it and you will undoubtedly enjoy yourself and be warmed by its wholesome atmosphere, but it is unavoidably a jack-of-all-trades situation.

Monster Island relies on appealing physics-based gameplay and a rather off-putting in-app purchase system to lure gamers in. Regardless of the questionable nature of the latter, the game is worth a punt if you're fond of hurling objects at other objects.
