This is definitely one hell of a weird experience. The art style is magnificent, the combat exhilarating and the soundtrack interesting. Interesting is also an apt word to describe the humor in the game. However, the level design is rather repetitive and the much advertised 'gigolo' missions are rather limited in options. If you liked similar titles like No More Heroes and Lollipop Chainsaw, you might just like Killer is Dead, if you're willing to overlook its flaws.

A surprisingly fun platformer that excels with its variety of characters and levels. The gameplay also has enough depth making it an entertaining title to play. However, there are some balance issues and modes that are sparse, as well as some connection issues. A few things to consider, but that does not take away from the fact that in terms of gameplay it is an ideal game for quick battles to kill some time.

Octodad is a unique and above all hilarious experience, mostly because of the downright weird controls. Unfortunately, these controls can make the game completely unplayable for people with less than optimal motor skills.

Jak and Daxter finally appear on Sony's handheld and their original trilogy remains a lot of fun. There's some annoyances here and there (framedrops and other technical hick-ups), but you should be able to overlook these flaws.

Trials of Mana retains the atmosphere of the original, but its gameplay feels a bit dated at times. But if you can overlook this, as well as the many loading times, you’ll be in for a lengthy adventure that’s definitely worth your while.

If you can get through the slow starting hours, 11-11 turns out to be quite an interesting experience, in part due to its unique visual style.

The most dangerous moto race doesn't exactly make for the most dangerous videogame, but it comes admiringly close. There's room for improvement, especially as far as loading times and multiplayer content are concerned, but overall this realistic race sim will keep you firmly glued to the tip of your seat.

Mediocre graphics are Paper Beast's main detractor, which is a shame - especially since, rather paradoxically, the game's unique art style is a major plus. Smooth controls and an enjoyable sandbox mode are other reasons to give this title a chance.

The new MotoGP is again just a little more accessible and graphically there is also a good step forward. On top of that, the AI also offers just a little more challenge, making the spectacle on the track look impressive. On the downside, the AI sometimes goes a bit too far and the content is mostly more of the same compared to previous years.

Once more, MotoGP suffers from long loading times and underwhelming graphics. However, the franchise has improved in some ways, chief among which the dedicated servers for the online multiplayer modes and the effective AI. Sometimes, baby steps are enough.

A nice, though quite unnecessary, virtual World Cup experience. Might have been better as DLC.

Disappointing singleplayer campaign, rock solid multiplayer modes... What else is new? Nothing much, really - especially since DICE appears to be more than happy to keep treading water instead of even trying to raise the bar.

We had to wait a long time for a new installment, but BioWare is finally back with a Dragon Age. The game presents you with an engaging story, lots of fun side missions, beautiful areas to explore and the combat is very enjoyable. Although we should note that the pacing is not always great and in terms of overall depth it is a bit shallow. A good game, but not the new holy grail within the franchise.

The core gameplay is wonderfully realized, making this free-to-play game very much worth getting into. Be prepared to withstand temptation, however, for money is still the easiest way to get to the good stuff.

The SAND LAND manga sees its translation into a game with this title that comes out just fine. This is thanks to the fun combat, the cool characters and the hefty amount of content. Fans can therefore completely lose themselves in this. At the same time, we should note that side missions can be monotonous and you have to deal with invisible walls. Also, some conversations are repeated quite often, which can get on your nerves.

This trilogy is a great example of too little, too late. Don’t get us wrong: Agent 47 and all his perils mashed into a trilogy pack make for a great way to spend your day, but it should have released before Absolution. With the physics being completely outdated and the so-so graphics, it drains our primitive need to play. We just play for old times’ sake and we still love it.

The lack of intuitive controls ensures that the PS Vita version of Gravity Rush remains the best one. If you can get past that, however, you'll find that this PS4 port is still a rush very much worth experiencing.

Strong acting and an interesting, creepy story make The Bunker very much worth experiencing at least once. It's a nice little adventure, though two hours of limited playtime may not be enough to justify the pricetag.

The newest Call of Duty delivers a fun adventure, filled to the brim with espionage and explosive action. It's very enjoyable - as Call of Duty always is - yet rather short. If we talk about the multiplayer, it feels very compact for now, a bit to compact with just a few modes and maps. But the maps are varied enough to entertain you for a while and Fireteam: Dirty Bomb is a fun addition. So, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a fine game, but that being said... it feels in a way like a little step back from Modern Warfare.

A comprehensive title that again offers a huge amount to collect thanks to the hefty amount of content. The LEGO gameplay also remains fun to experience so in that context you know exactly what to expect. But the game - despite years of development - lacks truly innovative steps forward, making it feel like more of the same. Also, the pace is not always consistent, which feels a bit weird in the experience. Nonetheless, an entertaining adventure that is well worth the effort.

An unusual game because it successfully blends together different genres. Managing your ship combined with first person shooter gameplay topped off by a randomly generated environment which can be utterly unforgiving makes for a highly original experience. The audiovisual style stands out and replayability is obviously very good. The tutorial could have been somewhat better because you'll be struggling to understand the game's mechanics when you first start out. A unique and captivating title that successfully blends different genres.

Once more, Ubisoft delivers more of the same in a new setting. It’s worth playing, thanks to the enjoyable firefights Far Cry is known for. Also the new tyrant played by Giancarlo Espansito makes a good impression in a diverse and nice new environment called Yara. The sixth installment of the series has some problems, however; dumb enemy AI, the absence of a skilltree and a general lack of polish being the most annoying ones.

This game lets you pick up a boxer's gloves and this provides a lot of fun, especially in the boxing matches themselves. Gameplay is a lot like Nintendo's classic Punch-Out!!! series and the matches are equally challenging. The unique and quirky visuals make for a remarkable title. Apart from the fighting though, the other stuff is far less interesting. The music really feels out of place as well. Nevertheless a fun diversion.

For the first time ever a game is ported from the Nintendo 3DS to the PlayStation 3. We're happy to report that this strange enterprise has turned out to be successful. The classical RE gameplay is back; claustrophobic and exciting! There's hardly any extra's and the price is a bit steep, but fans of Resident Evil shouldn't hesitate about buying this.

This game isn't dusty at all! Alright, that may have been a horrible pun, though the amount of variation and great visual style do make this a highly enjoyable platform game. It's sort of sad then that the controls are at times not as responsive as they should be.

As a game based on a movie based on a toy franchise this could have gone a lot of different ways. As it turns out, it's just another highly enjoyable, if not exactly memorable, LEGO experience.
