While bringing nothing majorly new to the table, the budget price-point and new features are reason enough for newcomers to give the game a chance. Lost Planet veterans, however, need not apply.

Dr. Mario & Germ Buster is a solid game that's highly recommended for those who enjoy puzzle games.

It's the story that really makes this unique, and if you don't like the story, you should probably stay well away. On the other hand, if you do enjoy their unique sense of humour, this may just be the funniest game of the year.

A game like Haze from a developer like Free Radical had so much potential, but there are just too many issues with the end product, making it very hard to recommend.

Singstar for the PlayStation 3 isn't fundamentally different from its predecessors but there is very little left to change for the franchise. With a great soundtrack and some long overdue online features, Singstar is a great continuation of the series.

Nintendo has taken ideas of what a videogame can achieve and has thrown them into a completely different universe. While others play with increased physics engines, Wii Fit entices you to play with your own physics and for the most part, succeeds at something we've never really seen before.

UEFA EURO 2008 is a fantastic game, and it's amazing how different the title is from FIFA 08. Football fans who are heavily into the tournament should pick this title up immediately.

LostWinds is a great example of what can be done with the Wii's motion based interface. In fact, it outshines many of the more expensive, bigger budget, retail games available on the system.

Speed Racer is a very solid movie game tie in that does justice to the film. In fact, it's easily the best movie game tie in of the year, aside from the lack of content the game is a lot of fun and makes every other racing game feel slow.

Speed Racer had potential but missed out in the end. The game’s AI is unbalanced, the Jump Attack mini-game feels like a gimmick and when you miss jumps you’re advanced ahead of other players. If you’re a Speed Racer fan or just like fast paced games in general though, then Speed Racer: The Videogame will appeal to you.

CrossworDS is a surprisingly solid game and a fantastic addition to the touch generations series.

Boring, repetitive gameplay, uninspired level design and pathetic voice-overs are just part of the reason why Iron Man is destined to become a video store rental rather than a full price purchase.

Awful camera view, clunky controls and repetitive missions makes this one DS title that doesn't live up to the superhero that it promotes.

Echochrome is one of the most inventive games available not only on the PSP, but anywhere. For somebody looking for something new in the puzzle genre, you can't really go wrong with this one.

There are a few technical issues; the frame rate does drop at times when things get hectic and there is some very noticeable pop-in when you're driving through the city.

Turok is a decent game with obvious flaws. Its first steps as a reborn franchise are decent ones, though it's difficult to recommend over so many other titles on the PC market.

The World Ends With you is easily one of the best and undoubtedly one of the most unique experiences available on the Nintendo DS. Despite a tough learning curve, we highly recommend this one-of-a-kind title.

As a stand alone product Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is a solid game with a decent RRP. Those who want the full Gran Turismo experience will need to wait until next year, but Prologue still offers up a bundle of content, making the title a worthwhile purchase for even a casual Gran Turismo fan.

FlatOut: Head On basically takes FlatOut 2 and tweaks a few things, resulting in a solid game, with plenty of content. The racing isn't quite as good this time around, but the Carnage mode is pretty decent.

Viking: Battle of Asgard is a passable hack-and-slash that would have left a stronger impression if the style managed to outdo the substance.
