The failure to include many of the star freshmen in the game is inexcusable. With players leaving college for the NBA earlier than ever, freshmen play a more important role in college basketball than ever before.

The best college basketball game this year on any system.

Many will be turned on by the plethora of game-play modes and options this game has to offer. Others will be turned off by the game-play AI, like I was.

A great, yet somewhat short, Career Mode, a bevy of online features, a fantastic Challenge Mode that will drive you crazy with replay factor, great looks, great courses, and the strongest simulation engine that I've seen on a console, will keep this title in your Xbox hours and hours per week.

If they had spent a tenth of the effort they made on their graphics and presentation on the gameplay instead, would we have a game that was comparable to the "Winning Eleven" series?

For those looking for a basketball game with a deep career mode, sim-like gameplay, and online play, Shootout 2004 would be a good choice. One thing’s for sure; the positives outweigh the negatives in this game.

It was like playing a toned down version of last year’s Blitz game with 11 players and 10 yards for a first down. Same playbooks, same style of play, same moves and a turbo button.

Although the career mode was a complete letdown, this still is the best tennis game to come out in this generation of consoles, including the Dreamcast.

If you liked the previous two versions of “Tony Hawk” you won’t be disappointed in this one. However, if you expect or need some earth-shattering changes from the previous versions in order to upgrade, then your gaming dollars might best be spent elsewhere.

It’s clear that they designed this game to play more like “Live” did last year out of the box. While that will probably help them sell more copies of the game, I feel Visual Concepts should have focused on other more important problems; like off the ball movement and in game AI, before adding other modes and removing key features.

This is the best version since "Live 2000" (a classic in my opinion) and I'm looking forward to see how the game improves in the future.

If you're looking for a PS2 rugby game, I'd recommend the original EA title. It must be cheaper by now, and has better gameplay. If you need a PS2 rugby game with updated rosters, there are some upcoming titles you could wait for.

It has a lot of potential, but falls short yet again. If you have an Xbox and a Playstation 2 and you want a wrestling game, then wait until November when the new "Smackdown" game comes out.

This is a nice looking, sounding, and smooth game of hockey. The gameplay AI and even Franchise AI is suspect - and below par, in my opinion.

Better, if for no other reason but the improved game mechanics. If they had made those improvements alone and left out the "Revenge" mode, I probably would score the game higher. However, the fact that they invested time, effort, and money into this mode forces me to push their score down.

The bread and butter of this game is it's gameplay and presentation. The graphics are bar-none the best out there. If you are looking for football at it's best, look no further than ESPN NFL Football.

There are just too many other football games out there that are more deserving. With that being said, I’m happy to see that this game has started making improvements.

The main gripe I have with Gamebreaker is that it feels like an afterthought to Redzone and 989 Sports. I played it and "Gameday" at the same time, and the game looks like, plays like, and has the same menu as "Gameday" - yet it has less polish on the graphics and gameplay.

It’s a fun game to pick up and play, and it plays great online, but in the end; by not doing the little things right on the field, and by lacking depth off the field compared to it’s competition, I just don’t see myself spending an extended period of time playing this game.

By far one of the best looking games for the Gamecube, one of the best playing, and a heck of a lot of fun. There really is not anything to complain about with this game other than the difficulty.

They should force any athlete who lends their name to a game to at least play it for a couple hours. If such a world existed, this game would have never come out. This game is not even worth a rental and if you are still reading this, you must be extremely bored at work.

There is not really anything groundbreaking here, but the element it provides does the sport justice and brings an entertaining time to the gamer. However, the lack of seeing anything new affects the amount of time you'll spend.
