It shows so much promise, and you'll love your first couple of hours, but it will become stale well before it should.- NZGamer

With only two episodes left until the end, it is hard to imagine any kind of happy ending for Lee and the gang (whoever will be left by then, that is) and yet I cannot wait for episodes four and five to come out so I can slog through the rest of this journey with them to whatever (I'm assuming) tragic ending awaits us.- NZGamer

Does it offer anything amazing on a platform that's becoming increasingly weary? No. It doesn't even try. Forget the kinaesthetic Wii remotes, you could easily play this game on a jury rigged calculator.- NZGamer

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted is definitely more engaging as a team effort, and we're not ashamed to admit that a couple of the mini games had us giggling with childish glee.- NZGamer

F1 2012 is by far the most satisfying, all-encompassing F1 experience yet. From the immersive graphics to the full-on career mode and the brilliant Season Challenge, it's as though Codemasters have thought of everything. Highly recommended.- NZGamer

It's a good title for fans of the franchise looking to play their favourite chapters from the on-going saga. Unfortunately, its poor localization, repetitious 'room clearing' level design, and shallow multiplayer mode make it hard to recommend to a wider audience.- NZGamer

Although the new features are welcome, Madden NFL 13 has nothing that will draw you in if you've tried the games before, and found them cluttered, confusing, and just plain hard to get into. But, for those who enjoy some pixelated pigskin, Madden 13 is solid, occasionally slick, and not afraid to wear some big hits in order to gain a few yards.- NZGamer

I've been playing Supernatural for the better part of a week now, and it's still surprising and delighting me with its cheery take on magic, horror and gothic. It's an expansion in the very best sense, and now up at the top of my list of Sims 3 must-haves.- NZGamer

Personally, Pro Evo 2013 feels a bit too much like work. Videogames are meant to be fun and, while I appreciate the finesse and hardcore aptitude required to impress in Pro Evo, I can't help but think that time would be better spent on a pitch mastering the real-life sport.- NZGamer

Tokyo Jungle is something unique that has a lot of potential but manages to fall short in a lot of areas. Replacing the looping music with a decent ambient track would've helped sell the setting and variation in gameplay for different animals would have given you a reason to pick one over another.- NZGamer

The biggest title in the series and a huge step forward from the original - as it should be, with over ten years between them. TTT2's most notable feature - the inclusion of weapons – will split fans down the middle; it's a big change to a traditionally melee series, but hopefully one they can improve upon in future instalments.- NZGamer

Twang the Fox is good fun. It's highly accessible and does a great job in adding variation to the gameplay, despite the basic mechanics.- NZGamer

Its a title with hints of nuance, and fairly entertaining gameplay, but absolutely no reason for me to get excited. And that makes reviewing it hard.- NZGamer

It's good in the sense that it takes a specific aspect of multiplayer from cover-based shooters and does it better than most. However, said aspect won't appeal to everyone. Moreover, Hybrid is a hard sell at 1200 Microsoft points - in addition to the micro-transactions you will need to unlock every weapon.- NZGamer

Overall, it's a superior game to War for Cybertron - from fixing the ammo situation to having a more variety in gameplay. The fact that you aren't playing through two campaigns which are virtually the same helps. It still offers up more for the aging Transformers fan, than the younger shooter fanatic.- NZGamer

It's been months since I last sat down with this absolute classic of a game; if it takes a bit of DLC to rekindle my enthusiasm for this wild and wondrous title, then regardless of the frustrations, it's still a winner in my books.- NZGamer

Chains of Satinav isn't the cheapest game on the market, but with a good twelve or so hours of beautiful scenery and some great story and gameplay, I'd still recommend this one to adventure game fans.- NZGamer

While it's definitely not going to win any awards in the gameplay department, it does dial up the level of detail that we can expect visually from an open-world game. It also delivers enjoyable, intensely violent action for anyone who wishes they could fill the boots of Chow Yun Fat or Jet Li.- NZGamer

It definitely lacks the high level of polish we've come to expect of the series, however, and settles at merely "very good" in that regard. It also pales in comparison to the previously released (and far superior) 3D Land, making an otherwise very good game seem somewhat lacklustre when held up against its older brother.- NZGamer

While at times frustrating (like all good adventure games), Resonance is an interesting combination of gritty, creepy, and above all else, humorous. Working with memories, and different characters' perceptions of events makes for a satisfying approach to the story.- NZGamer

Sound Shapes is a fun game to while away the hours with. Kids will love it and so will older gamers looking for a fun challenge. But the real love will come in enjoying playing inside a wonderful piece of art, and then creating your own.- NZGamer

If you were a fan of the first Darksiders, then this is definitely a worthy sequel that you should enjoy. However, if you are new to the series I would advise reading up on the first one a little so the story isn't too confusing before you pick it up. Either way, if you enjoy a dungeon crawling adventure game with RPG elements, then I can easily recommend you grab a copy of Darksiders 2 and embrace Death, with just a few reservations.- NZGamer

If you're looking for a decent multi-purpose joystick, buying one with this game isn't an entirely bad idea. The game's not as good as, well, any other flight sim on the platform, but it does have its own charm.- NZGamer
