With Resonance, Vince Twelve has demonstrated how it's possible to create a compelling and fresh adventure thanks to the perfect combination of a fashinating story, great puzzles and innovative ideas.

This is out of doubt the best Duels of the Planeswalker released on the market from the start of the series. The interface works well and there are enough contents to keep the players playing for a long time.

It wasn't easy to do something new with LEGO Batman, but TT Games surely tried to and the result is a nice game, packed with a lot of puzzles, powers and characters. If you liked the first episode, this sequel won't disappoint you.

Spec Ops: The Line is an original take on the shooter's standard. Even with some flaws and derivative solutions in terms of gameplay, its original story and setting make it one of the most interesting TPS of this year.

Civilization V: Gods & Kings is a strong addition that expands and enhances the game in many aspects.

A nice tower defence, with a strong editing component. Some flaws and lack of variety lower the overall score.

Subway Surfers is an awesome running game, probably the best one available on the App Store. And it's free.

If you're a "Kinect skeptic", Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor will not change your mind. At all. Motion controls may work better or worse depending on the room, but they'll never be accurate enough to let you survive an ambush.

There's no Peace Walker included, frame rate might be inconsistent, rear touch controls are a little tricky to adapt to and a few textures didn't age so well; however, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection offers two real masterpieces which really stand the test of time.

A rather enjoyable ARPG, with some nice ideas but a bad implementation that makes it frustrating at times.

Defender Chronicles II: Heroes of Athelia offers something more than the first episode, though it's got the same, solid gameplay. The animations are still choppy, but the overall experience is really enjoyable.

Fans of George R.R. Martin's novels could appreciate the atmosphere of Game of Thrones, since the game delivers a solid story, especially in the final chapters. Unfortunately the merits end here, as the experience is plagued by awful graphics, pointless fights and uninspired exploration.

If you're a fan of Suda51, you know what to expect from this talented director, and Lollipop Chainsaw will not change your mind. This game is freakin' crazy and delivers some solid combat mechanics, but it's also a little too short and not very well refined.

A mysterious adventure that creeps under you skin, thus makes you comfortable, and finally catch you off guard to bring you deeper in the invisible place where all dreams are tailored.

American Nightmare is a good comeback for our favourite writer. It's a bit too small and its structure could use some more variety. But, given the price of admittance and the sheer quality of its elements, it's well worth playing.

With a perfect narrative and an adrenalinic gameplay, Max Payne 3 is a wonderful action shooter with an adult mood. There are several minor flaws with the frame rate but overall it is a game you can't miss.

Tera features a truely great combat system but it actually hides cumbersome mechanics and repetitive quest grinding with poor endgame contents and a shallow PvP system. Next updates should provide a decent amount of content but in the meanwhile TERA is just a mediocre MMO with sexy ladies and cool gear.

Men in Black 3 is the typical casual game in which you have to complete several missions in order to gain experience and money, then unlock new items, maps and weapons. If you like the genre, give it a try.

Off the Leash is a nice, simple and enjoyable running game, with some funny graphics and good controls.

Super cool characters, vibrant setting and originale take on classic puzzles. Unfortunately you could beat it in a couple of hours and we still don't know when the second episode would be released.

Simple, fun and addictive, Extinction Squad is a very nice action game, packed with a good number of locations, animals to save and items to collect.

Art of Balance Touch! is a wonderful "enhanced" version of a beautiful WiiWare game; although the multiplayer has been left off the package, the simple and addicting concept, the new levels and features, the perfect physics and controls all sum up for another little big eShop jewel.

Scotland Yard is a perfect conversion of the famous board game; a must buy for the fans, and something to check out for the lovers of the genre.

Men in Black: Alien Crisis is a mediocre shooter, only made to exploit the renewed popularity of the franchise.

Camelot comes back after years with a new Mario Tennis, which is as fun as it used to be, and more realistic than the last one, but too oriented toward casual gaming. It's just too easy to strike the ball properly.

Not only is Slingshot Racing a lot of fun thanks to its simple and original mechanics, but it's also true eye-candy, boasting ultra crisp and detailed visuals.

The Book of Unwritten Tales is a well written adventure game, with simple puzzles and brilliant dialogues. Some situation are memorable, like in the best Lucas titles from the past.

Burning Skies does a decent job in terms of experimentation, thanks to the "hybrid" controls, but the graphics are worse than expected and the single player campaign does nothing new for the series.

With frustrating touch-based controls and lack of variety, Kotomon is a terrible ink stain on the developer's amazing pedigree.

Battle Nations smartly combines two different genres focusing, on the one hand, on the immediacy of casual games; and, on the other hand, on the challenge and the thickness of the turn-based strategy games.

Dirt Showdown is no doubt a very entertaining game. The handling is very easy, but the destruction derby mood of the game could be a little bit frustrating.

Despite some balance issues and a clunky storytelling, Diablo III proves how good a classic formula can be renewed: It's fast, fun and has a lot of replay value. Definitely worth the wait.

Marvel Vs Capcom 2 is an acceptable but lazy conversion of a good 12 years old fighting game. Some graphical tweaks or a couple of new game modes would have been much appreciated.

Gravity Rush is simply the best game available on PlayStation Vita: it's innovative and visually amazing, with a compelling story and interesting characters. The gameplay itself capitalizes the hardware's features and offers an all new take on your typical free-roaming adventures.

Lostwinds 2 evolves the enjoyable formula of the first chapter introducing better controls and graphics. There's still something that doesn't work, sometimes, with the touch screen and the frequent backtracking could not be appreciated by someone, but the game is still delightful, simple and poetic like a little fairy tale.

Mortal Kombat on VITA has set the standard for the sheer amount of content that is to be expected from a title like this. This is one of the Vita's best games overall.

Sorcery is not what we are waiting for. The magic wand works, unfortunately terrible camera and a short and boring campaign ruin the well devised combat system.

With Iron Front: Liberation 1944 the player get a huge battlefield and a game with great potential. Airplanes, real tanks, editor, co-operative missions, two campaigns and tons of interaction. Unfortunately the engine is full of bugs and requires very powerful hardware. Hopefully patches and modders will explode the true potential of this game in the near future.

Spellsword delivers a solid, fun action platform experience, packed with tons of items and power-ups to unlock, some nice 16-bit style graphics and plenty of challenge.

Ronimo has once again managed to hide under a thin and attractive façade in 2D a complex and well designed strategy game. Not many will exceed the initial impact, and not everyone will get completely hooked on its mechanism, but the mission of the Awesomenauts to bring the MOBA genre on consoles is undoubtedly successful.

The King of Fighters-i 2012 is the best fighting game for iOS devices; mainly thanks to the control system,fully optimized, but the contents are shining as well, with great animations and exciting online features.

Orion: Dino Beatdown is a disaster. Bugs, glitch and the lack of contents plague the entire production. It is more an alpha version than a finished game.

Massive action-RPG settled on an huge open world. Combat system is great but somewhat chaotic, and there's some technical problems. However, a good effort from Capcom.

This is a good return for the original tactical series of Ghost Recon. Finally we can play a (co-op) campaign a little more slowly where you have to think before you act.

Beyond the mediocre graphics, Swordigo's got a lot of content: it's fun, challenging and enjoyable. A very nice action platform with some RPG elements, definitely.

Warlock - Master of the Arcane is a good turn-based strategy game which is lacking only multiplayer modes. It's a modern Master of Magic and a solid and lengthy game.

Skullgirls is funny and beautiful to see, it's a good mash up between technic and spectacular. However only 8 characters are too few and online features are poor.

Starhawk is definitively a fresh breeze for the multiplayer online shooters. Building mechanics work fine. Unfortunately game modes are too few and the single player campaign is a little bit boring in the end.

Bar Oasis 1.5 delivers an interesting, fresh experience thanks to its "visual novel" approach. The story is very engaging and very well told, and the drinks minigames are funny.

Graphically stunning, fun to play in single and multiplayer and full of content, N.O.V.A. 3 might as well be a Crysis 2 rip-off, but it's also the best FPS available on mobile devices.

Brainsss starts with an original idea, but the result is a game without personality. An RTS with no tactical elements and a zombie game without gore could be, in effect, a problem.

Back to the Future: the Game is a good adventure, recommended to all the fans of the series. Just, if you can, don't buy it on the Wii: the framerate is a nightmare.

The House of the Dead 3 HD is a good, fun arcade port that works great with the Move, but after an hour it becomes a bit boring and repetitive. If you enjoyed House of the Dead games in the arcade, this is your game, otherwise look elsewhere.

Although its gameplay is based almost exclusively on timing, Cannon Cat is fun and enjoyable, it's got eighty levels to complete and it's absolutely free.

Ice Age Village doesn't add anything new to the genre, but it comes with the same characters seen in the movies and is packed with tons of missions to complete.

If you love the The Walking Dead comic book or a well written story with a lot of drama and emotional insight, this game is for you. If you're looking for action, puzzles or challenge, run away from any Telltale Games adventure.

Being a score-based arcade, Spin Up is best suited for ranking-addicted players, but it's also an original and challenging game which everyone can enjoy.

A Valley Without Wind is made for digital explorers with huge worlds full of secrets. But if you choose a peculiar graphic style you have to work on details and Arcen Games forgot that rule.

Super Monday Night Combat is a peculiar and colored freemium that melts third person shooter and DotA mechanics. The result is entertaining and interesting but far from perfect.

StarDrone Extreme is fun, immediate and cheap. The touch controls work very well and the game is pretty durable thanks to a single player mode packed with sixty levels.

Fable Heroes is a fun, simple way to wait for The Journey. Keep in mind that you'll really need some friends to enjoy it, otherwise you'll end up playing for a really short time.

Binary Domain is a nice surprise. Shooting mechanics are really well-devised, with an astounding mecha design and boss fight. Unfortunately the light rpg squad aspect of the game doesn't work properly.

An amusing TPS with realistic aiming engine and solid graphics. Killcam is cool, artificial intelligence is not.

Cubemen is a solid tower defense with easy-to-pick mechanics, good IA and deep strategy. It's fun and really replayable, but unfortunately it's also technically flawed, with too many frame drops and crashes.

Blacklight: Retribution is a free2play shooter which give its best only with a credit card.

Boring hack 'n slash with clunky combat system, frustrating camera and choppy framerate. Art style is very good and someone will like the massive gore.

Battleship for Wii is a poorly executed turn-based strategy game, that uses traditional controls instead of what the Nintendo console is capable.

Bug Princess 2 delivers a solid bullet hell experience with five challenging levels, huge bosses and three different game modes. One of the best shooters available on the App Store right now.

Quantum Legacy is a nice space shooter, with some very good graphics and excellent controls. What a pity there are only a few missions, at least for now.

A good take on the the world of motocross in videogame form. Its strictly arcade style could be too simplistic for someone, but also very enjoyable for many others, who doesn't complain a lack in strategy and technical awareness for a more direct approach to the races.

The game is an interesting adventure with a good plot. However the gameplay loses its funny aspect in the second half of the game.

Shark Dash isn't just an Angry Birds clone, even if the inspiration is pretty clear. Good Sharks vs evil ducks is a funny contrast, and the water enviroment gives an original touch to the game.

Top Gun: Hard Lock suffers from repetitive missions, oversimplified gameplay and so-so graphics, though it may be interesting to play if you're a nostalgic of the movie.

The game has several flaws but it's extremely fun and its gameplay is so much better than the prequel.

Trials Evolution takes what was great in Trials HD, and expands it in every conceivable way; a wonderful, frustrating, exhilarating, engrossing game that everyone with some gaming skills should at least try.

Crow is definitely style over substance, and good graphics and a fascinating concept can't overcome the fact that the game is simply too boring.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend is an excellent fighting game and a virtually identical porting of its PlayStation 3 counterpart, jampacked with content, modes and goodies to unlock. However, it's still your usual BlazBlue and you might not be interested if you have already purchased Continuum Shift II and every DLC character.

It is an interesting experiment, if not without issues. It's basically a Professor Layton clone with rhythm-games instead of puzzles, and yet it doesn't balance as much as well mini-games and storytelling. While not flawless, it's still a reccomended purchase to both fans of the genre and the Professor Layton franchise.

Light the Flower is a simple and intuitive puzzle game, perfect for an audience of casual gamers. Pretty slow and uninteresting at first, the game shows some great puzzles and a good variety in the most advanced levels.

This last iteration in the Bejeweled series goes straight to the point and gives you sixty seconds to get a high score, earn coins and buy power-ups to get another high score. And another, and another.

The game is a wonderful pirate experience with good graphics but with some limitations in the roleplaying aspects of the gameplay in comparison to the first Risen.

Men of War: Condemned Heroes is an intuitive, challenging and spectacular RTS that allows the player to control one unit on the battlefield. But it's getting old and the complete lack of evolution is a big flaw.

Despite some shadows and a not-so-deep game mechanic, Waking Mars is an amazing adventure game, with great atmosphere and wonderful sound design. A top notch experience from the developers behind Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor.

A work of art, an original puzzle platform with outstanding visuals and music. Slightly afflicted by a mixed-bag jump system and weird map design.

Pandora's Tower is some kind of a perfect example of what a small Japanese developer should do: a niche product with many interesting qualities and some kind of innovation to a starving genre. Some control issues and a disappointing graphical engine are the lows of an overall recommended game.

Burnout CRASH! is a good conversion, but with the same problems of the PS3/Xbox 360 versions. The concept is interesting, but the gameplay is unfortunately really disappointing.
