Hammer of Thor is a great first entry in the Rimelands series. Thanks to its charming dice combat system and the articulated skill tree, it is without any doubt one of the most enjoyable RPGs on the App Store. However, the game greatly stumbles in its storytelling, boring and full of clichés, while the adventure is too much linear and there are very few secondary missions.

Crescent Moon and Galobeeth Games have succeeded in creating the greatest RPG on the App Store. The first journeys on horseback, though counties and deserts, strongly remember the great adventures in Morrowind or Oblivion, but the numerous negligences and technical issues ends up ruining the overall experience. Probably the game will be better and better with the next updates, but if you are looking for a true and deep RPG you should search elsewhere.

Lumines Arise brings you way back in years, to a time of audiovisual ferment like we never saw after. With it, though, comes an entire set of forgotten memories that shine a deeper light into what we remember and how we do it. We tend to remember only the best or the worst, but not the in-between, which is where most of the unsatisfactory experiences reside, and this game resurrects exactly those. Unlike any other Mizuguchi game, it stagnates in a nostalgic field, so far away from reality that it lives completely outside of our time. It can capture you for hours, but it feels more like some sort of prison within the self than an exchange between user and videogame.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is an effective reimagining of a genre that has become increasingly underrepresented. The Game Kitchen has found an ideal compromise between the immediacy of the past and the complexity expected from modern video games, creating a fast-paced, layered hack ’n’ slash built entirely around a simple gameplay solution. It’s an experiment that doesn’t fully succeed: the game alternates between overly simple and somewhat frustrating sections, though never truly challenging, and it runs out of surprises within just a few minutes, ultimately becoming too predictable — though still devilishly fun.

WWE 2K25 features a 2K Showcase mode that doesn't hold a candle to last year's edition, while The Island presents itself as a variation on the traditional career mode with occasional fantasy elements but is hindered by a very modest presentation. The storyline behind MyRise is interesting, while the changes made to other classic modes aren’t substantial enough to make them feel fresh for those who have already invested a lot of time in these contents. On the gameplay side, the experience suffers from stiffness and interaction issues that should have been addressed by now, while the visuals range from stunning to downright ugly and outdated: the full-price toll for a franchise that is increasingly struggling with its annual release cycle.

Retro City Rampage is a weak 2D version of GTA, with a lot of difficult and repetitive missions. Its pixel art is impersonal, and the story has no sense at all(which is different from nonsense). Unsatisfactory for those accustomed to open-world games of this decade and lacking as an (un)enriched re-release of a game nearly twenty years old, *Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster* risks ending up poorly. Fortunately, the charm of its original concept and the characterization of the game environment, along with some still-valid ideas, lift it from a fate of potential mediocrity. It will be hard to become as passionate about it as some did almost twenty years ago, and newcomers to Willamette won't find enough content designed for them. Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven is undoubtedly one of the strangest and most fascinating unknown JRPGs of its era. The non-linear narrative keeps it fresh, while the other aspects are absolutely average. What unfortunately doesn't help is the plethora of flat characters that the title offers. Still, there's plenty to play, discover, explore, and we can't help but recommend this remake to anyone looking for a little piece of hidden history in the genre, those exponents you didn't know existed but who, in their own way, still have some nice ideas to convey.

Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly sports minimum innovations on the first chapter’s gameplay, while the writing is under the spotlight, managing to improve some of Coffee Talk’s asperities, but often failing in giving depth to newly introduced characters. World of Warcraft's new expansion speaks of courage, but has very little of it of its own. It suffers from all the limitations established in the middle chapters of the trilogies but Blizzard has limited itself to refining the tried and tested dynamics, adding content and features with little impact on routines that haven't changed a bit. The game still works wonderfully, mind you; those who enjoyed leveling up their characters or collecting all the collectibles now have new reasons to return, but while we were following familiar stories in familiar areas, we missed the sense of novelty and discovery we experienced in previous expansions.
