A great platformer and one of the best Sonic games in side scrolling. Along with Wii’s The Secret Rings it’s probably enough to dislodge Sonic the Hedgehog for the 360 and PS3 from our memory. [Nov 2007]

A great offering from Capcom. Even in a genre that’s not common on consoles, it manages to work perfectly on the Nintendo Wii. If you don’t mind spending a few brain cells and tearing your hair when you fail an objective, you just have to buy this game. [Feb 2008]

Taking advantage of the experience of previous titles, this new Buzz manages to offer a lot more. More quantity and more options, with the introduction of online support for multiplayer sessions and downloadable content. [July 2008]

Much more than a simple conversion to consoles, Revolution is a Civ experience built and tailored specially for these machines. And it really shows. It’s, in nature, a very addictive experience and the gameplay really suits the different console controllers. [Aug 2008]

All the key elements of the game are present on this remake. The graphics look quite detailed and colored new backgrounds have been introduced to make it look alive. A new Continue option, unlocked by mini games completion, will welcome the new players. The game itself remains as addictive as it’s always been and it’s an excellent choice if you like this genre. As fun and addictive as the previous ones, although the increased difficulty might be a little intimidating to anyone who intends to join the Guitar Hero cult at this later stage. But the new Les Paul guitars, the co-op career and the fabulous track list form, once again, an incredible experience. [Dec 2007]

With many details about the FF VII group being revealed, the huge amount of cinematics transform Crisis Core in a kind of interactive movie, thus constraining the exploration and combat phases. It could be perfect, but it keeps itself as “just” an excellent game. [June 2008]

Above all, it’s well worth just for its incredible atmosphere of pure tension, with the help of the technical side of things that work “for” the game instead of enslaving it. The first person action has an even more physical approach than in the original game and delivers a more “personal” experience. [Apr 2008]

It’s one of those cases that could easily pass for an expansion of previous titles, but those similarities are also one of its stronger points. There are some highly challenging battles here, especially if you want to keep all of the party members alive. [Apr 2008]

Pro Evo appears to be tired and probably needs a break. It’s still a great soccer game, and when enjoyed with friends it’s still one of the best multiplayer games on consoles, but its stagnant state has to be recognized even by the most ferocious supporters. [Nov 2007]

Visceral action supported by one of the best combat systems that you can find. But it fails to offer anything new which, alongside the lack of polish and a better balance of the difficulty, makes this sequel pretty much more of the same. [July 2008]

It’s not perfect and can be easily criticized for the lack of customization of the online races and the absence of damages. But it’s far from being a simple demo and has a lot of reasons that fans of series should be interested in. It’s well worth the investment. [Apr 2008]

Nobody can take away what this franchise did to the genre. But it’s hard to shake the feeling that we’ve played this before. Tony Hawk’s team seems to be running out of ideas and with “Skate” as a strong newcomer, they really need to change. But it’s still a fun game that old fans of the Birdman will appreciate. [Dec 2007

The combat system is still brilliant, Nero proves to be a good character and visually it’s pretty impressive. But we can’t help feeling a little disappointed. It’s still a great action game, but has the same flaws of every other title of the series. [Feb 2008]

This DS title still manages to be as addictive as the original, even if the control scheme on the portable isn’t as intuitive as on the Xbox 360. It’s fun, but you should take it with some moderation… or else you might lose all felling in your hand and wrist due to the pain. [Jan 2008]

Dragon Sword is possibly the most visceral game in the Nintendo portable console. The story mode feels a bit short, but the combat system is very addictive and perfectly fitted to the DS potential. [June 2008]

Embracing the Dark Side of the Force, this is a game plenty of action, memorable locations e a few surprises in the Star Wars world. It has some technical issues and an incoherent difficulty, but it’s still an experience that no fan should miss, also deserving the attention of the action gamers. [Sept 2008]

Viva Piñata is a very peculiar game, hardly attractive to the casual player. Even so, it’s charm and the way it reveals the game’s complexity seduces the players looking for something different. A few game modes ease this sequel for the younger players, the game’s main target. [Oct 2008]

Here is one of the most amusing games for Wii. It’s more colorful than the original version and has an amazing playlist, although the Wiimote is not so accurate has the maracas. In addition, we also have to complaint about the lack of an online mode. [Oct 2008]

When it comes to tactical shooters, it’s hard to find anything better than this. While the previous title already offered brilliant gameplay, Vegas 2 still manages to introduce some minor touches that make it even better. But although it’s a great multiplayer experience it still doesn’t manage to deliver the definite co-op formula. [Apr 2008]

While retaining the relaxed and accessible attitude of the franchise, it proves to be a great alternative for those who don’t like the seriousness of Tiger Woods. And if you take in consideration the type of strokes, certainly appreciated by the golf purists, and the online inclusion, it’s easy to understand that this title will be able to garner even more fans. It has charisma and it’s quite fun. Despite the arcade style, its combat mechanic is very technical and rewarding, although the difficulty could be more balanced. One final word for the character creator, that allows for the most bizarre creations. [Sept 2008]

In spite of its somewhat repetitive rhythm, Viking manages to offer to the player a great sense of accomplishment.
