The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is an utterly unhinged game, with incredible characters, exceptional combat and a whole lot of style.

Demon Tides is a 3D platformer that'll be hard to top in 2026, with exquisite movement, tons of variety, and so many ways to kit out Beebz.

MotionRec is an expertly made puzzle platformer, with a seriously clever central mechanic and a whole lot of charm packed into its short runtime.

Once again Two Point Studios have delivered a bright, fun, and likeable management sim that is simple to get into it, but deep enough to keep you invested – and I can’t wait to see what they do next.

Ball x Pit is a game that I never want to stop playing, thanks to its clever fusion of Breakout bouncing and Roguelike randomness.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Switch 2 is another miracle port for the console. Gone are the days of playing third party games on a Nintendo console and feeling like you’re getting a sub-par experience. Despite some necessary concessions, this is a good port of a great game and you’ll enjoy your time with Indy here as much as you would anywhere else. [Switch 2 impressions]

Dynasty Warriors: Origins is still my favourite Musou game, and getting to play it in handheld mode with few concessions is amazing.

BlazBlue: Entropy Effect X is a superb side-scrolling action game. The sheer amount of content on offer is enticing enough, but the animations and combat feedback are on-point throughout.

Lost Records: Bloom and Rage Tape 1 is a stunning return to form, offering a great story and a bunch of wholesome, special characters. The choices feel more personal to you, and the camcorder mechanic adds more depth to Swann, allowing you to feel more in control of your own destiny than before.

Keep Driving is a chilled out car management RPG that offers simplistic battles and some fantastic visuals, with a cool soundtrack and a nice chilled out vibe.

The Super Bomberman Collection is a wonderful bundle of games, whether you were a Bomberman kid or want to try something new.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is an exciting and satisfying side-scroller that never gets dull, and offers amazing combat set in a gorgeous world.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is wonderful alternative to normal person football games, with all the anime nonsense you could ever want.

Shape of Dreams is a sensational Roguelike with a ridiculous amount of depth, and whether you play it alone or with the squad you'll have a blast.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is a comfy blanket of JRPG nostalgia, and despite having some pacing issues I never wanted it to end.

Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster is a gloriously traditional JRPG, with compelling combat, fun new minigames and many hours of content.

The Drifter is a great point-and-click adventure that keeps you engaged throughout, with smart puzzles and great characters.

Although not the most revolutionary RPG, Quartet has great writing, perfect pacing, and is just a very cosy experience that genre fans will love

Extra extra - News Tower is an entertaining tycoon game that puts you in charge of a newspaper, and it's a whole lot of fun.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is still a fantastic stealth game with characters that are fun to use, and now you can take it on the go with you.

In all the ways that matter, Doom: The Dark Ages is a pure power fantasy, loading you up with outlandish weaponry and lethal powers and unleashing you on the horde.

Battlefield 6 is a return to its roots in many ways: an explosive warfare experience that puts you bang in the middle of the action with unique opportunities every moment and a seemingly never ending amount of customisation.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is so faithful it missed out on a few opportunities to bring it into the present, but it's still a fantastic game nonetheless.

Despite a couple of duds in Capcom Fighting Collection 2, there is so much good stuff on offer here and a couple of legit all-timers.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star Crossed World is the best Kirby game ever made, and on the Switch 2 it's better than ever.
