A lack of trust in the narrator leads to a slightly unsatisfying finale. But the journey, which is exceptionally graphically hilarious, is the destination in this case. Apart from the interactive passages, I felt more like I was in a slow-building film. Furthermore, built on "go and fetch" types of tasks. Apart from playing with the camera and certain passages, the player is mostly a passive observer of the story. [Issue#318]

Better than most movie games but yet not perfect. Excellent cover system and exotic locations but it's too short and too scripted. Fortunately, the entertaining multiplayer mode extends the game's lifespan. [Dec 2008]

Game Builders Garage is a specific title for a specific audience of no less specific console. There is no universal evaluation, and if there is such a thing as an objective evaluation, it cannot be applied here. You have to try Game Builders Garage, and you will either fail the title or it will discourage you after a few minutes.

Rather than a remaster, it's a port. It will entertain mainly rock fans who want to have a complete collection on a new console or complete Souls novices. [Issue#287]

In some ways it reminded me of old gamebooks, and in others of the board game Mansions of Madness, where you encounter strange things and monsters every round, lose your health and sanity, and the game propels you forward at a breakneck pace. But even so, it's essentially a very stylish and relaxing clicker first and foremost, if you're used to relaxing with stories where people have holes multiplying in their bodies and a smile reaching the back of their necks. Graphically, the game doesn't do too poorly, although a comparison with last year's Forza Horizon 5 wouldn't make it a winner. Grid is more thrilling, can be pleasantly fresh thanks to the different types of races like elimination, and even if it doesn't use DualSense as well as Gran Turismo, it's still a solid racing game that is sure to entertain with its variety of cars, tracks, and well-handled multiplayer. The battles then take place in real time, and in addition to the Mega Buster, you also have a variety of chips at your disposal, which here represent cards with weapons and actions. It's the tactical combining of chips on the battlefield that is the biggest, but probably the only, attraction of the famous brand's return. [Issue#327]

Scarlet Nexus is its own worse enemy. Bandai Namco is trying to fill game's own shoes with engaging fights and JRPG style story narative, but fails to deliver them in a proper way and especially with consistency. And don't try to play the game with keyboard, you do need a controller.

The combat system is not the clearest. The player loses valuable lives quite easily just by touching an enemy. This leaves you with conflicting thoughts, and even the graphic design and adorable animations don't completely save the day. [Issue#327]

Crucial question to enjoying this game is "Do you like dogs?". If your answer is yes then you will love this all-dog pirate adventure with a kind of "nostalgic" playability. [July 2010]

The interesting concept in a pleasing graphic jacket is not, unfortunately, reaching its full potential. A clever design is damaged by technical problems and the puzzles deserve a better balance of difficulty. Even so, the journey to save the planet is a pleasant experience.

Although the game is certainly better compared to the older version, the impression is spoiled by the sometimes clumsy controls. The strike aiming could use some tweaking. Pressing the right buttons is often more a matter of chance or luck than a planned strategy. The graphics have grown noticeably in beauty compared to the last game. [Issue#318]

The game doesn’t do anything wrong per se and I must criticize it primarily for its absolute mediocrity, lack of interesting ideas, and wasted potential. There were good moments I really enjoyed here and there, despite the game having the worst open-world city of gaming history and the creators’ promises not being fulfilled in the slightest.
