A well presented game that despite its charm presents a decent challenge.

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is a relatively stock standard Japanese fighting game with lots of virtual flesh.

So to be clear… there is a lot of fun to be had here. The actual action of the game is great fun, but for me it’s not worth the bother of dealing with the menus and the “glitch” style. If you are desperate to get back into the Superhot world then you may well enjoy the fact that you can play over and over again, otherwise it’s a pretty steep price tag for something that for some people feels like a fight just to get to the fighting in game.

MGS Master Collection gives Metal Gear fans the chance to play the original 80s games on modern consoles. With a few neat inclusions, like story books. The collection scratches some itches, whilst bringing subpar quality ports to the modern day.

WWE 2K24 is a fine game and it is showing Rhodes towards the wrestling videogames promise land, but right now it's nowhere near the Head of the Table.

Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster brilliantly showcases Monolith Soft’s signature worldbuilding and storytelling abilities, but exhausting battles and overworld exploration also expose the originals’ age. The remaster’s improvements – despite their lackadaisical implementation – manage to at least make some of this duology’s worst aspects passable.

Project Warlock is a respectable and enjoyable Doom clone. While it has some balancing issues to work out, it's still a must-have for fans of the retro FPS genre.

Despite some interesting ideas The Witch and the Hundred Knight ultimately fails to engage. The plot is surprisingly dull despite letting you take a walk on the dark side and the combat soon becomes chore-like as you diligently spam square until your reach the next area.

A wonderfully unique experience housed in an average game, The Eternal Cylinder tells a strong tale but executes it in a pedestrian way. Play it for the story, not the gameplay.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land introduces many great concepts and features but fails to be wholly entertaining. It contains unnecessarily tedious features and awful performance that will hopefully be fixed post-launch.

A loving homage to classics RPGs like Skies of Arcadia that modestly succeeds at what it's trying to do. With a little more time and work, it could be great.

All things said and done, this is a good game. It’s not the Lego Movie 2 game I was really wanting but it was fun nonetheless. It does have issues but there is nothing here that players, especially younger ones, are really going to have a problem with. Worth a shot.

Great effort at pushing the RTS genre in new directions with the addition of third-person action platforming, and I suspect you will either love it or loathe it.

Hirogami is a visually striking action-adventure platformer set in a charming papercraft world, where players control Hiro, an entertainer turned reluctant hero. Using folding mechanics, animal transformations, and gliding abilities, you traverse levels, solve puzzles, and combat corruption spreading across the land. While its slower pace and uneven level design hold it back, the game’s inventive mechanics and unique aesthetic make it a memorable, meditative playthrough.

Nintendo Switch Sports is a silly and lighthearted option for game night, but with a limited roster of sports, its appeal and longevity is restricted. Rather than games such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Party Superstars, and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, which game nights are usually built around, Nintendo Switch Sports feels more like an intermittent game to play with friends while transitioning to the stronger multiplayer experiences the Switch has to offer.

Having played the previous Pokémon Mystery Dungeon title, I found Gates to Infinity a cut down version of traditional Japanese RPG titles, especially the roguelike genre which seems like it has been watered down. The premise of the game is definitely there but it seriously needs some tweaking and additional Q&A which is a shame as the Pokémon franchise is so fun.

A marginally better game than its predecessor, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is worthy of a rental but the development team are going to have to return to the drawing board if they hope to return the series to its former glory.

Lost Planet 3 is unfortunately a game that does not try to push the genre. It's a sturdy third person shooter with a touch of first person that comes across a little too familiar and dated.

Kudos for Monte Cristo for aiming high, however unfortunately they missed that elusive mark with their latest city building game. It does feature some cool micromanagement and even some online features, however it feels like this game should have been something more.

C:PCW has a bunch of nice ideas, not only those mentioned but a few others as well such as experienced units purchasable from mission to mission, and the whole pre-mission set up phase, but most of them fall flat due to lack of thorough integration into the game mechanics.

If you're looking for a serious Theme Park Creator, unfortunately Moshi Monsters - Moshlings Theme Park is not that game but if you're a younger gamer looking for a collection of good to mediocre mini-games, than this may be your solution. Also, as the game is targeted at the younger gamer, the value for gameplay feels just right. Unfortunately the title is a little too repetitive for my liking however.

F1 Race Stars was a bit of a gamble for Codemasters and although they may not have completely pulled it off, it's an admirable attempt that should be appreciated for what it is – A much less serious excursion for the F1 license and a much needed injection of fun into a notoriously po-faced series.

Omniverse is basic gaming in every sense, which isn't to say that younger Ben 10 fans won't enjoy the colourful characters, easy progression and co-operative play. Older gamers will tire of it quickly.
