So while Panic in Paradise is largely a better game than its progenitor in terms of structure, delightful hats and sensible pricing, this elaborate sandbox for sadists is not a great deal more enticing than it was last time. It's as trashy as ever, without nearly enough charm or sharp humour to balance its unpleasant, vengeance-driven narrative.

Dishonored is the thinking man's first person shooter but throw those guns away as there are so many more interesting ways to take on your enemies. With a great protagonist, interesting characters and well-written story, it's games like Dishonored that really make you sit up and take notice. It's original and gives almost total control to the player on how the story and game will play out. With elements of RPG meets first person shooter, Dishonored is the game to all fans of both these genres and beyond.

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes is an intriguing and well-written interactive adventure, it's just a shame that less attention was paid towards the presentation. It may be just the PS3 version, but the frame rate may be an unfortunate distraction for people used to the high standard set by the current generation of hardware. For fans of the series and characters however, there's plenty of solid narrative and development that may cause you to look at your beloved Holmes in a much darker light.

As a Formula 1 simulator, there really is nothing better on the market, and the dichotomy between the desires of the hardcore and the casual gaming market has been balanced exquisitely. Credit must be given to Codemasters for refusing to rest on their laurels like some annual releases and making an effort to give us a new game rather than adding a few minor tweaks and releasing what amounts to a glorified expansion pack.

Carrier Command: Gaea Mission suffers from a classic case of 'Duke Nukem syndrome'. This game had a rather extensive development period (news of a remake has been buzzing around for about a decade) and just too much hype for anyone to expect that it would live up to all of their dreams. It sports quite a lengthy campaign so you won't be finishing it in a day, but with the poor gameplay, bugs and issues you'll face along the way, you may not even end up finishing it.

PES 2013 is once again a lot more realistic and gives the player more (tactical) control. Due to the slow tempo and the many tactical ways of putting your team on the field, every player can put a well thought through game on the pitch. Unfortunately the goal is mostly defended by incapable, badly trained chimps and on top of that the game also has some traditional PES-problems: bad animations, few licenses and an overall lacking finish. PES 2013 is like F.C. Barcelona playing in a tiny 500-person stadium; the quality of the game can never really be fully appreciated.

The Witcher 2: Assassin's of Kings Enhanced Edition is not a perfect game as the title does contain some graphical clipping, a few bugs and some truly frustrating moments such as over the top boss battles (depending on difficulty) and of course the horrible inventory system. However, thankfully the pros more than outweigh the cons in this title which creates one of the best RPG experiences on the XBox 360.

This is not Ridge Racer as we know it; it is a complete re-imagining of the series. For the better or worse Ridge Racer has changed, it is no longer a circuit racer but it still features similar drift centric handling.

Overall, not surprisingly there is a lot here for fans of the series, but there is also an excellent story driven fighting game for fans of the genre.

The collection is also rounded out by the option provided in the collectors edition of Silent Hill 2 that allows you to play the storyline from the viewpoint of Maria, also from the game. It's a good edition and one that adds a lot more value to your purchase.

Even with this failing, there is still a lot going for this game. The game is still a joy to play. The controls are intuitive while the graphics and music combine to form a claustrophobic, lonely atmosphere. In addition, the narrative is intriguing enough to keep you playing. Who would have thought that horticulture would be this much fun? Waking Mars is a game worth playing for its immersive and refreshing gameplay.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 is an enjoyable game, however if you already own Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters, there's probably not a great deal of incentives to purchase the latest game.

It took us just over 3-hours to complete this, however the game contains a large amount of hidden goodies to be found from different paths to completing levels and lots of hidden objects and power-ups littered through the gaming world. Thankfully all the games were quite fun to play and with two people, the whole experience is made considerably more enjoyable.
