And for that reason, we believe that this production touches excellence. And for that, it establishes the first 10 in the history of IGN Spain. Good trip, cowboys!

Elden Ring is a superlative title, one of those works capable of becoming an event and becoming engraved in the collective imagination. It achieves this by remaining faithful to its formula and exporting its identity to the concept of the open world, achieving its own personal approach, resulting in a world that is visually stunning, and that works with overwhelming precision in terms of mechanics. An excellent videogame that also maintains the concreteness of its proposal.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom uses the formula proposed by its predecessor to build a proposal that improves each of its sections. The result is a game that not only looks one of the most influential titles of the last 10 years in the face, but, as if it were looking for the sky that populates its illustrations, it has managed to rise above it.

Hades II is much more than a sequel. Supergiant Games’ work exceeds all expectations, with a gameplay loop that keeps you hooked at every moment, even as you die trying. Its immersive narrative and thrilling action make it an essential title for action lovers.

A video game that manages to do everything bordering on perfection, but that does not contribute anything very different from its previous version to justify all the work that involves completing it if you have already played the previous one.

Astro is back stronger than ever. Team Asobi has created a game that not only celebrates the history of PlayStation, but also the very existence of the fans. Astro Bot is a platformer that, despite always following the same thread, manages to constantly surprise the player and awaken a multitude of different emotions.

God of War very effectively achieves its mission to be a good reboot of the saga and a good sequel. Each one of the days of the five years of development of this new delivery is evident in the great values of production in each one of the sections, materializing perfectly in the constant sequence plane. Perhaps we only regret not having been presented with something truly original mechanically and not a mixture of ingredients that we have seen in other titles.

Shadow of the Erdtree lives up to expectations. The Shadow Lands are built with the same care as the Lands Between and are filled with new experiences. This DLC is FromSoftware demonstrating their undisputed talent in videogame making.

Metroid Prime: Remastered is a superb remastering job of a Nintendo classic, which original players will embrace with a huge smile. Some logical limitations of a game from two decades ago may make it a bit rough for new players in certain situations.

Metaphor ReFantazio iterates on series like Persona and Shin Megami Tensei but strives to create something unique and can find its direction in gameplay and narrative. It's a refreshing experience for those familiar with Atlus' RPGs while also creating something accessible enough for those approaching them for the first time.

God of War: Ragnarök, as a sequel, played with an advantage, and therefore had to overcome what was exposed by its predecessor. My impression is that it succeeds, and that is the best news that, I think, I could give you today.

Without leaving the same taste in you mouth as the masterpiece that is its first installment, The Last of Us - Part 2 is an excellent game that will make us reflect on the value of loss in a cruel and violent world so perfectly reflected that the player is not comfortable performing certain crude actions. Undoubtedly, Naughty Dog again puts the finishing touch on a PlayStation generation.

Half-Life: Alyx is the new bar for Virtual Reality. Valve has made a game so realistic, immersive and detailed that we can consider it a main iteration of Half-Life. Only its story, something fair in what it contributes to the saga, prevents it from achieving a perfect score.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 gets further than most of the RPGs nowadays. Larian Studios has created a complex narrative-driven game with intuitive and smooth gameplay.

Artistically refreshing, fun, deep and long. One of the best RPGs that we are going to see in 2017... But it's only in English, which is a mayor flaw in Spain.

The most complete chapter on the Metal Gear Solid franchise. A deep and complete experience capable of providing a ton of hours of joy. Maybe it's plot is lighter than usual for a MGS, but that's a minor flaw on a masterly sea.

Resident Evil 4: Remake manages to improve the original proposal becoming one of the best titles in the series by its own merits.

Simply the best game of the current generation. Thanks, Naughty Dog.

Nintendo Switch has made its year historic with this video game. Ultimate is not a Super Smash Bros Deluxe, it is the work of 20 years of success and a new way of revolutionary understanding all the new ideas, such as the Spirits or the new and long single-player Adventure mode. Sakurai hits the fighting games. SSB Ultimate is essential.

A stellar remake, which is not afraid to change what it takes to update one of the most important video games of all time.

A minimalistic yet excellent puzzle-platformer that achieves everything that it attempts almost perfectly. Only its slower pace and the lack of a real challenge could be improved.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a game destined to mark an entire generation of players, as well as revolutionize turn-based combat as we know it. An RPG to remember.

An outstanding racing game that does everything near perfect to offer one of the best games of the year.

Hollow Knight: Silksong has earned a permanent place in my memory. It's an incredible sequel that expands on everything the first game introduced and gives fans an adventure full of secrets and excitement. Challenging, deep, and extremely satisfying to play. Hornet took her time, but it was worth every second of the wait.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the culmination at all levels of the current Action RPG. An immense, brave and ambitious work, capable of giving the best possible homage to the original classic while introducing its own vision.
