Solium Infernum brings its own unique take on turn-based strategy, not so much in substance as in form, but in an equally satisfying way. Its strong focus on gameplay based on political and diplomatic decisions gives it a unique flavour that shines especially in its multiplayer aspect.

One nice return, despite leaving some core features behind. Halo 5: Guardians manages to entertain and sets the basis for the franchise's future.

Pikmin 4 is a sequel lives up to the saga, an expansion that naturally integrates a greater amount of content, presenting new mechanics that, through Ochín, enable the creation of new challenges. A must have for the fan of the saga, and a great sequel which is perfectly capable of attracting new looks.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle looks amazing on Sony consoles. A new opportunity to dive into an adventure you will never forget. A shinning jewel for the PS5 catalog.

Improves everything that made Shadow of Mordor an excellent game but makes new mistakes with pacing and with its narrative. Again, an excellent (and deeper) game.

Maybe the best racing game of the year, but it could have been better with a more polished campaign and a dynamic weather system and day-night cycle.

Its blend of humor and great characters perfectly complements the universe created by Gearbox. The best of Telltale since the first season of The Walking Dead.

One of the best indie games of the year -so far-, and a modern reminder of everything that made Tony Hawk's games a sure hit. Still waiting the split screen mode.

A true racing simulator that may not be appealing for every player, but manages to offer a different view of the racing genre on consoles.

SEGA has found a way to create an even better version of OutRun. Thanks to its 60 fps and the stereoscopic effect, OutRun looks as gorgeous as it did back in the eighties.

The king of the 4X games is back and it has come with a golden crown. Firaxis has made a whole new Civ with a taste both of the past and the present. Perfect for newcomers and a challenge for the experienced ones.

A surprising new twist on a crowded genre. Slay the Spyre may not be the prettiest game out there, but it's one of the most interesting experiences of 2019 so far.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is an excellent demonstration of quality with an absorbing history and an outstanding artistic direction. Joining concepts such as Norse mythology and psychosis was not easy, but the mixture has been respectful and interesting.

More and almost always better. More characters, more game mechanics and a luxury soundtrack are the pros of Hotline Miami 2. Unfortunately, the plot slightly darkens a game of exquisite mechanics.

Super Mario 3D World has aged quite well. It is still a very enjoyable adventure, updated in its rhythm and different enough from Super Mario Odyssey for those who came to Switch without going through Wii U to discover it. The big surprise is Bowser's Fury, which transcends the concept of simple DLC and adds mechanics and novelties of epic dimensions.

The best possible version of the 'impossible game'. Maybe its technical side is getting too old for next gen consoles, but that is its only mistake, on a package that offer hundreds of hours of death and joy.

The game is really fun and is a gift for fans of rhythm games. If you like metal, you're in luck. In addition, the artistic section is awesome, with a game full of humor and excesses, and the editor of levels makes his life endless.

inZOI's early access is already showing green shoots that will probably lead to a promising future, but there is still a lot of polishing to be done. The basics are good, and the content is more than robust, but it is the background where there is a lot to work on. [Early Access Score = 70]

In its current state, Path of Exile 2 is already a great ARPG. It has everything it needs to be a benchmark in the genre, while offering a challenging and satisfying experience. Still, it has a number of rough edges that need to be polished during its early access. [Early Access Score = 80]
