A very entertaining game that contains nothing but combat. This isn't the kind of game I'll spend a month of my time with (it's too short and repetitive for that). However, will I come back to it in a few months? You bet.- GameZone

While the platforming gameplay is presented well, and the moves are varied and fun, the difficulty and the lack of save spots can be frustrating.- GameZone

The gameplay really doesn't dazzle, and with several other fantastic FPS games out there, it's a wonder the developers let this one go in this condition. Vietcong: Purple Haze is flat as a board.- GameZone

Take away all of the hype, hyperbole, and this game’s celebrated lineage, you are still left with what can only be considered a masterpiece of gaming.- GameZone

We as gamers crave unique experiences and perspectives in our games and this one delivers. About the only people I can imagine not enjoying this game are die-hard cat people (Dog’s rule, by the way). Give this game a chance, you won’t regret it.- GameZone

The only downside is that there isn’t as much to Gradius V as there is to some of its competition (R-Type Final, for example) in terms of variation and replay value, but the key element of Gradius V is its challenging and fun gameplay.- GameZone

The enjoyment dies out after about two or three more missions though, and the game becomes repetitive all the way up until the end.- GameZone

A game with both style and substance. Yes it gets repetitive and yes it might seem like just a button-masher, but it’s an enjoyably addictive action game fans of the genre shouldn‘t miss.- GameZone

The new levels are intense and filled with action, giving you lots to shoot at (and lots to shoot at you). The scope of these missions is epic, throwing you into the mix against tons of enemy units at once. The new weapons, particularly the flamethrower, are a nice touch.- GameZone

A good entry level game for the beginners, but anyone else should probably take a pass, but then again, at a budget price, older, complete diehard fans, may want to take a chance.- GameZone

A good collection of activities for the pre-teen crowd, which can use some good software that's amusing. This game compares well to others that are similar in focus.- GameZone

While some of the mission elements are a little more straightforward than most of us were hoping, and the competitive edge of other heroes throughout the land is all but gone, the final result is still a deep and engaging action RPG.- GameZone

A wild cast of characters, great gameplay mechanics involving dashing, blocking, three meters, and unique weapons, and incredibly smooth animation tying it all together – what's not to like?- GameZone

All the things we look for and love about war games is not present in Shellshock: Nam ’67 and that includes the realism of the war itself.- GameZone

Even kids who love things Power Ranger will bore quickly. I can honestly say that this is one of the worst games I have ever played, and I have played some stinkers.- GameZone

This is yet another title that gives upper-level players more content, but also does a decent job of giving lower players a chance to play and level. The improved graphics are also a welcomed addition.- GameZone

It’s definitely a game that can be played and replayed over again since the story will never really come out the same at the end, provided that you can look past a couple of deficiencies.- GameZone

A good handheld game that offers ease of play and the ability to play a friend on the mini-games after game completion. Couple this with the attractive packaging of Barbie and friends tied to a popular video, and it's sure to be a hit amongst the 6-10 year old girls.- GameZone

Yes, a little innovation scattered here and there would be great and maybe a few more difficult aspects thrown in for older fans of the show, would have been appreciated, but this game does so much right, that it’s hard to complain too much. Fans of the show or parents of fans of the show will certainly enjoy this homage to the FOP.- GameZone

A slightly above average children's platforming game that delivers a fair amount of fun. Its good points are that it is an easy and enjoyable gaming experience, its negative aspects are that it just could have been so much more, while yet maintaining its ease of play.- GameZone
