MLB ’09: The Show is a leap forward from ’08 on several fronts.

But in the end, there's something peculiar and odd about Limbo that keeps the attention of the player far longer than it should have. As I said, credit goes to PlayDead Studios – they've created a game that is fantastically weird and pleasant all in its own right.

You will be able to control almost every single aspect of what went on during World War II campaigns to see if you have what it takes to be a good commander and stay alive.

While some minor control issues here blemish an otherwise flawless package, Okami remains one of the best games of recent years, if not of all time. It’s engaging, original, and a true work of art — Wii owners looking for a game worthy of their time need look no further.

It brings back fond memories of a genre that is going through a renaissance on the Xbox Live Arcade and indie scene with darlings such as Braid, 'Splosion Man, A Boy and His Blob, Limbo, LittleBigPlanet and many others. With that said, Super Meat Boy is among the best in the genre in recent memory.

An utterly brilliant and addictive gem. With amazing missions, a great story and plenty to do in the city, this game is just non-stop fun from start to finish. Forget the DS; this game truly shines on the PSP.

I'm disappointed that the story never pays off, and seems more like a bridge to a third installment (getting close to Earth). It may not be deep, but it is an exciting journey, and possibly the most frightening game since the original Dead Space.

Real-time strategic puzzling at its finest. Pikmin 2 builds on the original in ways you'd never expect.

Control and sound issues aside, this is the best version of Madden 2002 available.

One of the best and most time-consuming iPad games out there.

If there has to be one PC game on your holiday list for 2010, make it Civilization V. It's the best turned-based strategy game on the market, let alone in the past five years.

The great controls, amazing size and scope and incredible music are just a few elements that should get you hooked into the game.

With wonderfully solid controls, great graphics, enough game modes and enough teams to select, this game is one you should not miss if you love sports in general.

This is one of the most action filled and intense gaming experiences that I have had to date.

Forza Motorsport 2 is easily the best racer you can find on the Xbox 360. The driving physics are deep and accurate, and the online features are a blast. While the game has its foibles, it’s still a highly recommended racer for any driving fan.

The stability woes, a few clipping problems, and finite game boards do present some drawbacks to the game. The good news is that this game is so good you can forgive all that.

The game offers a smooth control scheme and even though I would have liked to have seen more powers in Joe's arsenal, its a blast to play.

What makes Tiger Woods the best golf game available are the controls.

Madden 2005 doesn’t disappoint, but it clearly doesn’t improve a whole lot from last year’s stellar version. It is still the best playing football game on the market however, and seems cemented in the idea of the “If it ain’t broke, don’t try and fix it” mentality.

Simbin has gone above and beyond my expectations on creating a game that sticks to real life as much as possible yet still remains fun to play.

Grand Theft Auto IV is a solid port, adding in some compelling features to reward PC gamers for their patience. However, they’re going to want to sit tight and wait for Rockstar to issue a patch to fix the game’s stability problems.

Empire: Total War isn’t perfect, and it can be tedious at times. On the whole, it manages to pull off everything you’ve ever wanted in an RTS, and delivers even more. Top honors.

Bar none, one of the most satisfying ice hockey titles to grace the PS2 console so far. It really does come close to perfection in everyway and that is saying a lot considering the fact that last year’s "NHL 2K3" was at the top of its game.

Each character model is so well done and I even found the cut scenes interesting.

The nine new maps are fantastic and certainly will enhance the multiplayer aspect of Halo 2, online or off.

Aside from some graphical downgrades, this is still a solid version of a great RPG.
