Fans of previous Pocket Gems releases are probably going to like what's available here, but with so little to keep players engaged, it's just too thin an offering to get really excited about.

Even though the market is full of physics puzzlers at the moment, iBlast Moki 2 manages to stand head-and-shoulders above its competition. It's incredibly clever and fun, and its stunning production values only add to the overall experience.

One of those games that sounds like it might be stupid but winds up being stupidly fun. It's adorable and strange and just violent enough to be goofily awesome.

Okay, it's an arcade game, and it's pretty well put together. But Shoot the Birds just rubs me the wrong way. And with not much to do in the long run, it's just not the easiest game to recommend.

On the gameplay side I think they trimmed out a lot of the under the hood yin and yang nonsense.

One of those games that is far from bad. It just never manages to rise above being pleasantly mediocre.

For the price, and given the great changes to the genre it makes, Aces 3D Brick Breaker is a very fun arcade block-breaker title. It manages to do some very different things, gives you enough incentive to keep going, and surprises you along the way.

By limiting the actual amount of time you can play without spending money, Let's Golf! 3 goes from a fantastic golf game to an exercise in frustration.

Just as with big budget console releases before it, Desert Quest serves as the perfect warning that all the flashy looks in the world can be incredibly deceiving.

Touch Detective is really going to be hit or miss with people. The characters and stories are totally weird and nonsensical, which I found charming but I could see how they'd turn some off. The crux of the game revolves around you tap-tap-tapping all over the screen trying to find objects that do god knows what. I enjoyed the game for the most part, but it's bound to be polarizing – so it's a good thing you get to play a good chunk for free first.

Bizango Blast is one of those games that feels like it should be a lot better than it is. Basically, the problems can be explained with these three questions (especially the last one). Does it have a cool premise? Absolutely. Is it good-looking? Not really. Is it fun to play? God, no.

Is Extreme Road Trip a fairly simple offering? Sure. Kind of a one trick pony? Probably. But the one trick Extreme Road Trip pulls off is an incredibly satisfying one.

How much fun you'll have with Avalon Wars really depends on what type of player you are. If a game like Haypi Kingdom makes you doze off, there's nothing all that different on offer here, aside from the theme. But that doesn't mean that the experience isn't deep, and if you're willing to delve into the game's world of menus and statistics it can prove quite addictive.

An excellent little game that manages to do something with a genre that's been all but played out for a while. It's a lot of fun and incredibly entertaining. Plus, it contains 75 different levels to play through, so there's a lasting appeal here.

Little touches like bomb pegs, fire and ice pegs, and pegs that multiply the number of babies all helped to keep Kickin Momma fun – but with a general lack of challenge and originality, there simply wasn't anything here to blow us away. Fans of Peggle will no doubt enjoy what Kickin Momma has to offer, but at the same time, it doesn't offer anything we haven't seen before.

A terrific release in an exceptional series. With 75 new levels to start with and the promise of more to come, there's simply no good reason to keep this one out of your collection. Besides – everyone loves a good mad scientist.

The slight quirks aside, Fast Five will be a real treat for those with a taste for iOS racers. The rather extensive list of unlockables and titles to achieve, as well as the online multiplayer mode, guarantee that wannabe Vin Diesels will whet their appetite for flashy drag racing and high-speed gameplay.

While I'll admit Fruit Ninja is a little slicker in its presentation, I've enjoyed playing Ninja Fishing far more, and at the end, isn't that really what matters?

The Marbians is a wonderful little title for the iPhone. It's full of charm and fun, and the puzzles is delightfully challenging. Not only that, but it's incredibly easy to get into and then put down.

Though some may be turned off by the premise, most players will be delighted by Gesundheit!. It's a fun game that offers something different – and not just the gross-out content. Gesundheit! is definitely worth the tissue.

With plenty of levels to play through and online leaderboards to master, we'll be playing Roboto for a good while longer. It's just a shame that those controls couldn't be a little tighter.

While the setup is truly bizarre (especially having been so well-realized in the parking lot scenario) the puzzles are what matters here, and in that respect, Tomb Slider delivers.

A decent game. Unfortunately, that feels like a colossal letdown after things start off, if only because the production values imply that it's going to be so very much more. It looks and sounds amazing, so it's a shame that it doesn't play amazing, too.

With a bunch of different unlockables (players and vanity items like jerseys) and different leagues of varying difficulties, not to mention tournaments, Dice Soccer really does offer a decent amount of content. Once you get past the goofy idea and put some time in, the game opens up and really presents a nice experience.

A fun game for as long as it lasts. It's very well-made, and has a fun premise. But the lack of multiple maps, modes or any other reason to replay other than topping your score makes Zombie Gunship merely a fun diversion than a fulfillment of Zombiepocalypse Now.

Feels like a deception – a physics puzzler that appears simple enough to engage with from the outside, but will leave scores disappointed when they take to its waters. The idea behind it, though a touch derivative, has potential aplenty – but developer Cezary Rajkowski's strict rule set means Feed the Duck's fishing trip only turns tasty when you follow its line to the letter.

While Allied Star Police lasts, it's a lot of crazy, fast, fun. Unfortunately, it's not nearly as long as it could be, though there's something to be said for a game that keeps players begging for more rather than giving them too much content to play through. But, more importantly, this is one of those games that will make anybody who plays it feel good.

Dream Track Nation could be something great, but ends up being something that's merely okay. On paper, it's got everything you'd want in a custom racer. But there are too many rough edges to give it the fullest, heartiest recommendation.
