Overall, it’s a huge thumbs up from us for Call of Duty Mobile. This release very much blurs the lines between console and mobile, feeling every bit the huge profile console release on our phones. The fact you get so much for free is astonishing, and Tencent and Activision wisely stayed clear of pay to win – even if the freemium monetisation will remain off-putting to some.

Space Grunts isn’t the most original roguelike game in town, but it offers a decent challenge while remaining friendly for newcomers.

RadBalls is a fun little bite-sized experience that is worth playing through, even if only for the bright and colorful aesthetic and the amazing upbeat soundtrack. It isn't overly complicated, it's easy to pick up and learn, utilizes the multi-touch capabilities of the iOS devices, and would be a great game for all ages to play around with.

Rebuild started life as a flash game, and can still be played in browser. I will say, though, that they did a great job of translating the game to the touch screen, and it's a much better experience there. Rebuild isn't especially deep or long winded, but it's pretty engaging and will easily provide zombie fans with a taste for simulation a satisfying experience.

Those aren’t reasons big enough for soccer fans to bypass FIFA 14 though. Assuming you’ve got room on your device for the 1.3 GB download, this is soccer done right, and for a price that can’t be beat.

Our only complaint would be the price tag, which is a tad high considering the age of the game – even if there admittedly is plenty of content to get your teeth into. For any fans of old school first person shooters this is still a must buy though.

It’s definitely fun and a different take on both match-3 and Magic, but it’s going to need some updating wizardry to completely captivate me for the long term.

Mini Motorways is a well put together puzzler, and reasonably well priced – but we’d recommend playing it on another platform if you have the option.

Every level is worth at least one play-through thanks to some excellent platforming and simple puzzle elements that force the brain to work a few steps ahead. Don't let the look of this title fool you--it's quite exciting and requires a sharp mind. Some variety in goals would be nice, but these are more petty wants added on to a really solid experience.

PinOut is an exceptional pinball experience that will appeal to wizards and novices alike. Take advantage of the free download, enjoy the fresh jams and flip away. And when you quickly find yourself wanting to continue from your last checkpoint, know that your small monetary investment costs far less than an evening at the arcade but will be just as entertaining — and for a lot longer.

Perhaps the highest compliment that could be paid to Legend of Solgard is that it’s not what you assume it might be just from hearing the genre in which you’d place it. It’s got something to offer all kinds of mobile gamers, from the very casual to the much more serious, and should expand the definition of a King title beyond what we’ve all known it to be for years now.

A wonderful reminder of how unique a video game can truly be. Whether you're a fan of the original release or a gamer who's never heard of the work of Eric Chahi before, Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition is one you'll want to be adding to your collection.

It's gorgeous, controls well and offers a good solid challenge. I've played a lot of games that I'd consider a tempest in a teapot, but Storm in a Teacup isn't one of them. This one is a big deal.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is a full-featured, often hilarious tycoon adventure that places you at the forefront of theme park and roller coaster construction, and if you’ve got a few bucks to throw down on it, it’s highly recommended that you do — especially if you come from a Roller Coaster Tycoon pedigree from your youth as I did.

Despite the colourful and generally chill aesthetics, Promenade is certainly not a game to be trifled with. This only made us enjoy the game all the more though. What could have been another bland indie platformer is something much more interesting. So if you’re looking for a new platforming challenge, we’d highly recommend Promenade. It’s charming, well designed, and has a few interesting new ideas of its own.

Speaking as someone who’s been getting rather tired of sliding box puzzles, I think Warp Shift is genuinely refreshing. The way it requires you to think differently about space, the various extra puzzle elements that come into play and integrate with each other, and especially those cute little cube key things; it all makes Warp Shift a worthwhile brain teaser.

At launch, the promised network multiplayer mode was a no-show, and selecting that mode confusingly sends you back to the App Store to download the latest version of the game. There’s also no difference between the campaigns for each country, so buying them is really a matter of whether you want the different planes to fly.
