Let’s Fish! Hooked On is simply an average game, one that you will go back to once in a while, but not one that you will seek out to play. It is a game that does the basics well enough, but could have done with more time engaging the player. It is by no means a game you should avoid, but neither is it one that you should rush and download.

This would make an excellent PSN or XBLA game, and would be worth paying top price for. But as a top price full release game, this should be a lot better.

Really, The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is a mess and a frighteningly terrible video game.

Nothing more than an aggressive version of dodge ball, which does contain some initial attraction that unfortunately, quickly, wanes.

With the movie being one of the biggest hits of the year ti date, it is a huge disappointment that the game was so far off the mark. We weren't expecting a God of War game but if done right it could of been pretty damn close. The lore was there, the combat, the possible beautiful worlds and yet somehow it was all overlooked and instead we get a decidely 'ok' game.

Potter fans will be disappointed by this lazy attempt that is substandard fare and lacks options. EA Bright Light will have to revolutionise its approach if the franchise is to end on a high.

With unique glitches evident Pure Football is an interpretation of the sport similar to Super Mario Strikers with its emphasis on pick up and play.

In conclusion there is absolutely nothing to recommend about this Spy vs Spy.

Overall, this is a hugely disappointing release from Midway who had seemed to be on an upward trend over the past few years. Hopefully Hour of Victory is the exception, as this should have been binned long before arriving exclusively on the Xbox 360.

Sadly outside of the main mode Kung Fu Rider offers very little else for your money.

The game play is too repetitive and a combination of poor controls and poor visuals make it frustrating to complete the levels. It's hard to imagine many people, whatever their ages, having the supreme patience to actually sit through more than a few hours of this game.

The 2.5D graphics are quite nice and it captures the character and environment well, but overall we can only really recommend this to parents who want to shut their kids up for five minutes.

Quite frankly, Superman Returns on the DS is abysmal. If you consider paying for it, or even asking for it for Christmas, you deserve to have a huge slab of radioactive green Kryptonite enter the Earth's atmosphere and smack you right on the head.

It is a tough one to call with Declassified, there is plenty of potential there, but the execution is lacking. Content feels very watered down and it appears that the wrong capabilities of the Vita have been used.

In the end, it proves too bland and generic for mech enthusiasts and just a poor game for the uninitiated.

Overall, Smash and Survive is like a poor man's version of the Burnout series with a demolition derby aspect badly added. If you're looking for a diamond in the rough amongst all the other low budget downloadable games on the Playstation Network then we suggest you keep looking, because this isn't it.

It has no redeeming aspect except that thankfully the pain is short-lived, but then again you should heed our warning and avoid this title at all costs.

Good concepts are fine, but if you cannot back those up with solid gameplay, then unfortunately it is always going to be a lost cause.

Jet Impulse offers some of the best arcade action on the DS.

While Gamestyle enjoyed the action far more than Joust or more than we actually expected originally, next time someone argues that games were better all those years ago, direct them towards Rampart and see that argument crumble far more quickly than the castle walls.

If you are a fan of difficult shoot 'em ups from a bygone era of gaming then Gundemonium Recollection will keep you occupied for sometime. For most players however this is a challenge too far and lacks enough variety to warrant any long term playing.

It's a lovely looking game, with a great cell-shaded style, and bags of character. The frustration caused by the trial and error approach to the levels ruins the enjoyment to some extent, but persistence leads to immense satisfaction.

We're not concerned that the system isn't at the forefront of technology, so what is here isn't bad; it just hasn't got the charm of the books or the magic of the movie. And Harry Potter without magic doesn't make sense.

What we were able to see showed that Shadow Hunters is a respectable re-versioning of what the original game did so well, but with no-one to share it the positives come with caveats. You'll need either more luck than we had online or a willing group of like-minded friends to gain real enjoyment from this DLC. Without either, Shadow Hunters is an experience akin to a lone child playing on a seesaw.

All being said, Fortix 2 is a real challenge for those new to the game and those medieval strategy veterans. Across 35 levels, the sheer strategy of it all can get too much at times and feel repetitive despite the constant variety of enemy onslaught, but those dedicated to genre will enjoy Fortix 2 a lot.

Whilst Backgammon Blitz isn’t going to all of sudden bring the masses flooding to the game, it is a very faithful recreation and one that anyone with an interest in Backgammon will get plenty of joy from. If it can reach a new audience, then all the better.
