The loop of crafting new gear, finding new locations, and crafting slightly new gear gets tiresome eventually, but the story and exploration is just enough to keep you going to see this quest to its end.- GameSpace

Lost Words: Beyond the Page is a breathtaking, moving side-scroller narrative adventure that masterfully tugs at your heartstrings thanks to a moving musical score, a beautifully written story, and gorgeous graphics. Each piece comes together to create something truly magical that is sure to stay with you well after you've finished the game. While the gameplay is fairly casual in nature with an average of 4-5 hours to complete and easy to solve puzzles, it is worth every penny to experience Izzy's journey alongside her. Just make sure you grab plenty of tissues and turn off the lights before you do so, so you can ugly cry in peace.- GameSpace

Dungeons 3 is a solid Dungeon manager that will keep you entertained for many hours between the fun gameplay, loving the attention to the details and endless puns and jeers of Thalya and the Narrator towards each other and famous franchises. If you are tired of the paladins and people who play them, this is the game for you.- GameSpace

Harmony: The Fall of Reverie is something special. While it's easy to write it off as "another great game from DON'T NOD," Harmony is something much, much more. It allows us to see our world through someone else's experiences and it teaches us that there is great power in one person's decisions. If you love story, replayability, and the chance to be moved by excellence in writing and acting, Harmony: The Fall of Reverie is for you.- GameSpace

Overall, Iron Harvest 1920 is a solid title to buy and play. It is available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 right now for $49.99 USD. It gives you the story of a role-playing game with the fun factor of a AAA RTS title. Once you get past the length of the first few missions and into the meat of the story you will see just how big it can get.- GameSpace

In the end though, Bleed does what it sets out to do: it entertains and it offers fast, furious, and difficulty shooting and platforming. It’s a good game. It’s just too short for my tastes. Bring on Bleed 2, and let’s get nuts, Wryn. It’s not much to write home about visually, but in the world of Indies, it’s the gameplay that really counts and Bleed nails that part.- GameSpace

While the game causes you to go through some learning pains, The Flame in The Flood will reward those who stick with it to a great experience that you won’t find elsewhere. Playing through this game throws the player into a situation that will make the player feel helpless and constantly struggle to look for material, rather than eventually getting so powerful you just feel like you won the game.- GameSpace

Black Book is a unique mix of point-and-click adventure and fun card-based deck-building RPG taking place in a unique setting with interesting characters. There are certain shortcomings in translation and lack of explanation when it comes to the game’s systems, but overall it is an incredibly enjoyable narrative-driven experience.- GameSpace

As an example of boss fights at their finest, Furi is a great game. And when it was over, I felt like I’d achieved something, even on easy mode. I suppose the reason I’m a little disappointed in the game is that it left me wanting more and that’s a good thing. Furi is out today, January 11th, on Nintendo Switch. If you’ve yet to play it elsewhere and love the premise, give it a look.- GameSpace

Aegis Defenders is out now on just about everything, but it plays really well on the Switch which is where I tested it. For $20, I’d say it’s recommended if you’re into Tower Defense or action platforming games even mildly. If they can frustrate you or turn you away, don’t bother. This isn’t up your alley.- GameSpace

Knight Terrors is a game that feels at home on the Switch because of the Switch’s mobile appeal. It falls right in the category of a cell phone game; it’s something that you’d pick up for a few minutes, play a round, and be on your merry way. It isn’t a living-room blockbuster like a certain plucky plumber keeps producing, but at $3 USD, it’s hard to shake a hat at it… or a Stick of Returning.- GameSpace

Bladed Fury attempts to tell a tale from Chinese legend, but exiles itself into the realm of the unremarkable with several missteps. Combat is not terribly deep and the precision strike system is no implemented well, though the Soul Sliver system adds a unique touch to it. While the sound design encapsulates eastern inspiration, the art design struggles to find footing in one place.- GameSpace

If you are a fan of Minecraft and are looking for something fresh with an RPG feel, Portal Knights will definitely be a game that you should pick up. It combines the traditional gathering and creating formula with multiple, randomly-generated islands to explore packed with dungeons, monsters, and towns. While those who are looking for a creative mode won’t find that here, those who are looking for a more combat-focused building game will enjoy what Portal Knights has to offer.- GameSpace

Coming in at $9.99 USD, Icey delivers a fantastic 2D brawler with satisfying combos and hard-hitting combat. It’s multi-branching paths give you more story with the meta-narrative, but doesn’t quite flesh out all of the parts into a cohesive whole. But, at the end of the day, we play beat’em ups to do just that.- GameSpace

Clearly, Fool's Theory wanted to create a game that prioritized story, an uncluttered setting, and charismatic characters. And the studio succeeded. True, it is noticeable that they wanted a larger scope, but either there was not enough money or time. Closer to the end, even the animations seem very meager, and the endings seem chaotic. Overall, however, the team has succeeded in what they set out to do. With the success of The Thaumaturge, we can only hope they build on it and create the game of their dreams in their next outing.- GameSpace

Even without the toys, or even in spite of the toys, Starlink is a great game. Add in couch Coop and this is a fun way to get younger players into RPGs of this scope. It’s also one of the few RPGs of this style that deal with space an technology and aren’t just pure fantasy. With an interesting story to tell and compelling game systems Ubisoft has built a solid new IP. Hopefully they can continue to expand upon it into the foreseeable future.- GameSpace

Mystic Pillars has an elegant Indian story woven into the game's puzzle design. At times the storyboards felt more like a barrier to getting to the next set of fun and engaging pillar puzzles. Even though a story-based puzzle game is a novel idea Mystic Pillars would stand strong on being just an outright "puzzle game". The simplicity of the controls also makes it an exceptional "travel game" via the Switch's undocked mode and touch screen support!- GameSpace

If a murder mystery action game sounds like a game you might like, I highly recommend playing Omensight. From beginning to end it just doesn’t stop on delivering a solid experience. Although the story seems to be straightforward and simple at first it opens into an interesting tale with complicated characters helming the ship the whole way through.- GameSpace

Biped is a simple idea but executed with as much charm as Next could possibly muster. If you’ve ever wanted to save the world but the T800 was just a bit to shoot first and ask questions later, grab a buddy and try out Biped. The cute characters, lovingly crafted stages, and emotional range the mechanical cast show between your own screams of joy and despair will have you hooked on this title, and you can even play co-op without the couch via Remote Play.- GameSpace

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is a fascinating study of a bygone era in America, though it clearly has roots in today’s world and modern urban legends It’s got so much personality, so much to offer and provides such an insight into how our culture developed over the course of its history. While featuring clunky controls, it’s well worth the price of admission.- GameSpace

In this humble reviewer’s opinion, this game is worth more than 19.99 and is a steal for someone who likes an adventure game with unique controls.
