An excellent strategic piece. You may be discouraged only in the case you own the original SoaSE with all its DLCs (The Trinity edition); because all that is new could be put into a tiny DLC.

For now the best game with the Olympic Games' licence. This one differs from the others by its audiovisual quality. In other respects it's all the same - it's unfunny, button-beating as usual that lacks any kind of passion or motivation.

Gratuitous Tank Battles is acting like some classic tower defense title. However, after some time there is this "shout boo" and you have to create your own units and you need to unlock the very important weapons through the very same battles as well. After a lapse of time you'll find out the very well-made core of the game, and if you are a toyer you are going to get a lot of fun. Although, if you are looking for some instant tower defense entertainment, you should look elsewhere.

A complex strategy game from the Wild West Indies that's looking absolutely stunning at first glance. However, the game fails completely in many regards. Its controls are overly complicated, the game's mechanics are rather dull and the battles are quite annoying. In the end you are supposed to stare at numbers and drink your real rum, which is a need.

Everyone would want a laser slicer that cuts a single column size of the Žižkov Television Tower in half. Grandpa's Leftovers truly puts you a tool like that into your hands. Too bad this original arcade game is terribly short.

A fast and furious and full of fun arcade racing game that's in many regards and without a sweat crushing its competition - DiRT Showdown including.

Quite a decent expansion pack that's been trying to look big. However, this expansion was made for a bad game, in which only a half of things actually work, and whose potential wasn't fulfilled even over rich history of the series. A value of this expansion pack is not worth its price. Even though the original game is bad enough, the expansion pack is helping to overcome this problem - mainly because of its great religions.

Quantum Conundrum is original and a catchy logical game. However, the game can't deny a fact it was being made under the same hands as the first Portal installment. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't even cast a shadow over the Portal series - quite the contrary.

A big surprise among military shooters. Spec Ops will present you a dark story that's opposing the well-known clichés of the other military games. It's a pity, however, that the action part doesn't go along with the game's storytelling.

You no longer have to worry about that Battlefield 3 along with its Close Quarters has become a better copy of the Modern Warfare 3. Close Quarters brings a very different gaming experience that is not for everyone, but the fact that the game's massive multiplayer now possess more of its pleasant possibilities is undeniable. Those of you addicted to tanks and planes should pass Close Quarters and await more open-ended maps in the upcoming additions.

If you feel like taking an editor and playing with tanks and soldiers afterwards, then Iron Front: Liberation 1944 is going to make you happy. Otherwise it's just the ArmA 2 game thrown into the Second World War setting. However, the game's well-made and detailed models of guns and machinery are used in a single-player campaign that's been clumsily put together. No one even bothers to play its multiplayer that's been running out of juice.

Play this game only if you know A Game of Thrones novel and also if you are willing to forgive that the game hasn't been made properly at all. Only then you are going to be captivated by a thrilling and well-made story with the power to make up all the negative aspects. Simply, Game of Thrones is all about its content, not its form.

One thing is when you try to modernize principles of genre, and the other thing is when you overdo it with your own bad ideas. Boredom and stereotype are then the essential parts of the overall experience - I don't even talk about the technical issues.

A well-made port that's behaving just right. Because it's the portation of the complete edition of the final instalment you will find all the DLCs here. The end result is that it is a very good fighting game, well-suited for relaxing on your travels.

A pleasant surprise for all those fans of the genre, who play the Civilization game mainly for its battle component - those players will get their satisfaction here. However, the rest of them will strongly feel the absence of the other gaming elements. On top of that they will most likely dislike the game's cheating AI, no hotkeys availability along with the game's very few options as to how to win the game.

Mad Riders is an arcade racing game that is boring to death. Even though the game offers plenty of tracks, modes and vehicles, the actual differences are in their different colours. Quantity dominates quality and most importantly - it dominates the actual entertainment.

Regardless of its 2D adaptation, Lone Survivor takes pride in its incredible gaming freedom. Not only it contains many original game elements and courses of action, it contains a thrilling story as well. Moreover, several game endings guarantees a strong motivation you replay the game again and again.

A mature RPG that's been suffering from bad technical quality, repeating of the same in-game situations and from the excessively fast monster respawn. If you manage to get over these flaws, you are going to be rewarded with nice gameplay, a well-made motion control system and especially with its emotional story with five different endings.

A fair RPG that combines Japanese and European tradition, and that offers a full experience for tens or even hundreds of hours of gameplay. As Dark Souls it gives you nothing for free, as Skyrim it offers a great living world with its own rules. The game adds adrenaline fights along with its unique sidekick system, aiming this way for the best role-playing game title of the year.

Playing Showdown is like to jump off the plane and then remember you have no parachute. This game is entertaining enough to get under your skin, but this state won't last forever. There is this low quality of contemporary games in general.

Minecraft is suited for all, who have not killed the child within themselves yet. Although, the console version cannot be compared (for now) to the PC one, it still offers a great deal of fun, and with its regular updates we may expect of it to be a supernal game any time.

Blizzard keeps it slow but steady. Then, after several hours of playing, you are finally finding out that Diablo III is changing into a ride full of adrenaline that is going to take your forefinger at the very end for the sole purpose of acquiring a prosthesis for yourself to keep on riding.

The king is not dead, long live the king! He's enjoying the booze, he's eating only his remedies and he's killing as many baddies as he can. Max Payne 3 is one hell of a great shooter with modern day enhancements, still bringing the nostalgia into your eyes. Visually riveting game, whose style is going to knock you out with a little bit of tears leaving in your eyes. If you love the shooters, why are you still reading this? We haven't played something of this crystalline purity in a very long time.

Its brilliant gaming concept will keep you entertained for a long time. Its creativity, its user-friendly environment and humor of the title will captivate all true gamers. If you've been disappointed with couple of AAA titles of this year and if you've been looking for a change, maybe Trials Evolution is the thing you need.

Men of War: Condemned Heroes does fail in everything that matters. Missions are stereotypical, AI is weak, its technical execution is miserable with plenty of bugs, the game design is left to chance and the missions are hard enough to satisfy a sadist.

Imagine a game that's been to little avail. Now you've been introduced to Confrontation. The game's interesting ideas are unfinished or misapplied, traditional gaming mechanics do not work and if they do they are dull. Multiplayer is just a padding here. Even if you had been lucky and the game had entertained you for a while, you would still do better for yourselves to find your entertainment elsewhere.

A mediocre collection of XBLA games by Capcom. It includes decent pieces of work, however, they fall from grace in comparison to the rest of the games that's been made defective and that's been put into this collection as a padding as far as I'm concerned. This collection is still worth your money, but it's not worth enough.
