Amazing platformer nearly without any mistakes. Visually stunning, soulful, great, pleasant and with catchy music. Unravel is a pleasure to play no matter your genre preferences.

In the age of DLC, Blizzard serves up an expansion pack that easily outmatches many great games in its content. Viewed from all angles, Heart of the Swarm is extremely well-made and honest experience of the completely new Battle.net with essential innovations, a long full-blown campaign with a great ending, expanded possibilities of a single-player game or of a precise cutting multiplayer game. Also, let's not forget about Arcade, a powerful editor and first-rate optimization. If you like the classical RTS genre a bit, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm is the best thing you may get these days.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a thoughtful, stylish, and confident soulslike that knows exactly what it wants to be. With excellent level design, an atmospheric world rooted in Chinese mythology, and plenty of original ideas, it feels like far more than just a cheap Dark Souls imitation. While technical issues and a few unfortunate design choices hold it back from true greatness, it still stands out as one of the strongest entries in the genre – sure to satisfy both seasoned veterans and newcomers to challenging action RPGs.

Papers, Please is a unique passport stamping simulation game. It becomes surprisingly entertaining because of its gameplay variability and its unusual commentary about an individual working for a totalitarian regime. Bravo.

A no-nonsense port of one of the best console narratives finally arrives on PC. If the lush, overgrown post-apocalypse of the first game got under your skin, there's no reason to hesitate with The Last of Us: Part II Remastered. Aside from slightly longer loading times due to shader compilation in the No Return roguelite mode, the technical execution is nearly flawless.

Excellently made action adventure with RPG elements in a large open world is only a foundation. The creators of Killzone piled up lots of good ideas, innovations and systems that together move the genre bar higher.

An outstanding action-packed ride with superb pacing and delightful gameplay. While it may occasionally torment, most of the time it simply captivates and fulfills. Above all, FromSoft has demonstrated its versatility with Armored Core VI, proving it a studio capable of transcending genre boundaries.

A stunning comeback. If you like RPG and don´t mind a tons of texts-to –be-read, a rough story and a little chaos from all the strangeness around, then you just have to play Torment: Tides of Numenera.

This utterly beautiful platformer may look like it’s meant for children, but don’t let yourself be fooled - it’s hard, so much so that even the easy mode presents a challenge. The co-op mode could use a bit of work, but all in all, this is another excellent Nintendo game.

An exceptionally beautiful tale that is like a Norse windstorm to its homeland - fresh and harsh. This one will make you smile, touch your heart, but above all it will prove that games are not merely superficial.

A brilliant puzzle game with simple yet ingenious mechanisms, a ton of levels and many options how to win. If only it was a bit more consistent in the application of its rules...

Do you love classic, old-school RPGs? Do you prefer a dirty Apocalypse to a generic fantasy world? Then you’ll love Wasteland 3. We couldn’t have wished for a better successor to the old Fallouts from Interplay.

The harrowing journey of Czechoslovak legionnaires along the Trans-Siberian Railway in Last Train Home brilliantly combines tense strategy and management of an armored train filled with tough decisions and dramatic missions. Moreover, the entire adventure, centered around the incredibly original theme of stranded soldiers, is presented in beautiful graphics with a fantastic soundtrack and authentic Czech and Slovak voice acting.

A fantastic reimagining of the legendary horror classic. Silent Hill 2 looks otherworldly, sounds hellish, and maintains its thick atmosphere, even with a stronger emphasis on action. Bloober Team has proven with this remake that they truly understand the legacy and message of the original. While it's a somewhat different experience than it was twenty years ago, it remains deeply faithful to its source material.

A very conservative, but also very successful remake of a genre classic that every horror game lover should experience. If you once missed this milestone, you don't have to look back, the new version perfectly represents it and in a modern guise awakens the same feelings as the original once did.

If Witcher 3 were great novel, Heart of Stone is an equally great tale. It takes place in the universe of the original game, but it tells its own story, that fits perfectly into the universe and belongs among the best, what the creators of CD Projekt invented. It is a touching, funny, extensive... And it's also an absolute obligation for everyone, who liked Witcher 3 a bit.

Funny, sweet and charming is the detective humoresque with two birds in the roles of the snoopers. The new adventure perfectly resembles the life in the 19th century and will address all lovers of an unobtrusive humor, history and slower pace of the game.

One of the best story-driven RPGs that is shining on today's generation of video game consoles. If you own X360 and you love RPGs, there can be no argument, nor any reasonable excuse, against buying this game right now. Head to your nearest shop.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl looks incredible, and the enigmatic Zone captivates you with the force of an atomic explosion. It offers an outstanding blend of shooting, survival elements, and one of the most stunning open worlds of the modern era. While it suffers from a few technical hiccups, these are easily forgiven in light of its exceptional quality.

Although Fire Emblem Fates is slightly larger and more complex than its predecessor Fire Emblem Awakening, it fails to ignite a same level of a boundless enthusiasm, because both games are just too similar. All and all it isn´t anything bad. On the contrary, it’s still a top turn-based strategy with a great focus on RPG elements. You hardly find some better games on 3DS.

Without the slightest doubt the best action game of the pirate and sailor genre ever. Black Flag is smart enough to keep down the Assassin's Creed mythology, and it puts forward its pirates, and colourful and also deadly Caribbean. Instead of a mere expansion of the traditional formula, a charismatic hero along with his Jackdaw ship creates a great tandem bringing something truly new to the series.

What separates Death Stranding from full marks? Only its inaccessibility, but the reward for getting through its many layers is sweet beyond imagining - a brilliant story, incredibly varied gameplay and revolutionary asynchronous multiplayer. Keep pressing on. It’s well worth the trouble.

We have a winter outside, but with Okami HD you can jump right in the middle of the spring. Ten years left marks on this original action adventure, but far less than it might seem. If you are fine with sometimes strange effects, and you don´t mind low difficulty and -at the first place- you love fairy tales, there is hardly a more beautiful and more optimistic game than Okami.

The vision of the title, wide-open arc between the genres, has finally materialized, and shows the qualities of the original idea to make a mix of FPS, RPG and classic MMO in full brilliance. Of course, it is still the Destiny with all its specifics and design philosophy. And finally, it is also a full-fledged game without birth pain, which does not lack the perfect content and the promise that the second sequel will finally become a timeless event. It is the victory of excellent game design, game narrative and visual orgies. The second part has simply everything, and if you like the FPS and grinding, then there's every reason for Destiny 2 to become your game of fate.
