Torchlight is a surprise hit. Despite boring surroundings and few heroes the game is a lot of fun.

Despite the lack of Blood the “Ninja-Gaiden-Feeling” could still be carried over to the first mobile installment of the series which makes Dragon Sword as good an investment for fans, as for all other owners of a Nintendo DS with a liking for action games.

Conviction is a really good reboot of the series, even so I sometimes miss the feeling of the older titles. Nevertheless the game is really fun, especially the multiplayer-part.

It steadily grows harder for me to see the positive sides of a SimBin-Simulation. Thus, GT Legends still takes the cake thanks to a motivating career-mode and nifty cars. At the end of the day, it falls to the racing-game fan himself to tell if the purchase of GTR Revolution is justified. [Issue#15]

To play Colonization once more was like reaching deep into my personal drawer of childhood-memories. My verdict: Colonization is a truly well made portation of the original for the new millennium – but you shouldn’t be expecting and real innovations. [Issue#15]

F1 2011 has improved in several details and removed old errors. That results in a sport sequel as it should be.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is more than an add-on, but doesn't feel like a sequel either. The scenarios are similar, and the gameplay mechanics are practically identical. Enough ranting, though: In this game you can control your Alter Ego perfectly, the team commands work well and the scripting is well written. The difficulty levels are designed to give starters and pros a real challenge and keeps you glued to the screen for hours. Extra praise has to be given to the camera feature that lets you include your face into the game. Those who can live without innovations should make their way to Vegas again. It's worth the way.

The PC port cannot surpass the console version. Though we get the DLCs included and the graphics are better, the slight bugs and the hardware power required turn the tide in favor of the console version.

Book of Unwritten Tales earned itself a place just below my beloved LucasArts Classics. The difficulty might be too low for some, but story, characters and humor place the game high on my personal adventure ranking.

Dawn of Discovery is not only the fourth installment of the highly regarded ANNO-series but also the best, offering challenging complexity for core gamers and providing easy access for beginners at the same time. Don't miss this game if you are a fan of economic simulations.

If you consider yourself a mere "NFS-Fan" though, you're still better off with the "other" NFS: Hot Pursuit.

Bioware's latest RPG will hit still does not approach the complexity of the former Baldur's Gate. All RPG fans who already own the main game should still buy awakening.

The Tales of Monkey Island get better with each episode. Despite relatively few puzzles and locations, Lair of the Leviathan succeeds with a fresh setting and new ideas. Best Episode up to now!

Compared to its biggest rival in today's Game-shelves (split/second), Blur definitely marks the more traditional racing-experience, despite all the flashy power-ups and weapons. But that's not a bad thing at all. Quite the opposite is the case: Blur is really good fun & on all platforms. Especially if you're into that web 2.0-thingy (Facebook-integration).

Pocket Paradise is truly the Rare-franchise in your pocket. True, it doesn't bring the same graphic quality of the console versions, but it's still pretty playable. Besides that, the control scheme is much beter than that of his counterparts. This is one DS title that can compete with the big boys.

Fallout: New Vegas is difficult to classify. It is not really an add-on, because it tells a completly new story. If you love Fallout 3, you may as well cheat on it with New Vegas, no harm done.

For fans of the Original (TCoR:EfBB), this is nothing but a "must have". But everybody else, who's simply looking for a good, brutal shooter with stealth-elements and a cool main character, should definitely have a look too! Personally, I'm sure you won't regret it.

Bulletstorm is probably the most politically incorrect game of all time ... and to me, that's a good thing! Its humour will certainly not be to everybody's liking, but I totally recommend it to every single shooter fan out there that wants to try something new.

KH: BbS is a game for those who prefer story over gameplay - but for those it is a great addition to the existing Kingdom Hearts storyline.

Final Fantasy XIII goes back to the J-RPG-roots of the franchise while stripping away that which made its predecessor appealing to fans of western RPG. For Fans of the linear J-RPG genre, FF XIII is a great game; fans of western freedom had better stay away from it.

Is it a curse or a blessing that Red Alert 3 played to the strengths of its predecessors and didn’t try to change the gameplay by daring to include any revolutionary changes? You really have to decide for yourself, but what it boils down to is mediocre RTS-Action. However, excellent acting saves the game from sliding further down the slippery slope in form of its technical weaknesses. [Issue # 16]

Black Shark is the perfect game for anyone who isn't scared by a thick manual and a steep learning curve. Recommended for everyone who always wanted to learn how to fly for real.

Armored Princess is not much different than King's Bounty: The Legend, but it eliminates minor criticisms, and offers fresh content for all genre fans.

Prince of Persia is repetitive in more ways than one, though nevertheless still highly enjoyable. If the nowadays ever-present backtracking is your thing and if you enjoy the gorgeous cell-shading graphics to boot, by all means, pick up the Prince. [Issue#17]
