Chicken Blaster takes a player through eight stages of shooting nothing but chickens and it's about as fun as it sounds.

A monotonous and unimaginative fighter that can only possibly appeal to the most die-hard of Dragon Ball Z fans.

With the load times, the cool but only once or twice modifiers and living boards that are all pretty much the same, it is probably a better idea, and a cheaper one, to just buy the physical board game, rather than invest in the electronic Switch version. Every know addition to the Switch's growing library is cool with me, but Monopoly is one you can probably take a pass on.

The problem with Outcry isn't that it was cheaply made, it's that the developers took what little they had, and made something unappealing and boring out of an interesting concept.

If Jackass the show were as bland as Jackass the game it would have been cancelled after one episode.

By the time I finished Valkyria Revolutions, I was almost comically over it. The most telling moment of the entire experience came as I was nearing the end, and my wife came downstairs and asked me, "Ugh. Are you watching that game again? Play something more interesting!" That's right, "watching that game again." With so many cutscenes, only broken up by uninspired action with ideas that don't work or aren't utilized correctly, Valkyria Revolution is tough to recommend to anyone for any reason. If the alternate history angle of the story excites you, you'd be better off playing any of the Chronicles games. If action RPG combat is your thing, Dynasty Warriors, Hyrule Warriors or the upcoming Fire Emblem Warriors should scratch that itch much better than this game can. And if you are a longtime fan of the series, like I am, I can't do anything but warn you; this is not the game you wish it was, nor expect it to be. Please, Sega, let's go back to the way it was. This Revolution is not a welcome or a successful one.

With all the indies in the Switch eShop, The Deer God is one that fails to impress on the level as others. As great as the premise is, the gameplay is repetitive and boring, with really no incentive to play for more than a few minutes. The art style is as tired as the random encounter or escort mission, and the game just fails to come together in any meaningful way. Other indies far outshine this one, and your money is probably best spent elsewhere.

Toss this one into the storm cellar and lock the door

You're better off resisting the urge to collect more toys.

Shells of Tedium would be a more appropriate title.

Inversion isn't terrible - its main obstacle is how many other games on the market handle this stuff much, much better.

Viking, once it is all said and done, just isn’t a very good game. It's repetitive, its boring and nearly every aspect of the game seems either rushed or plain forgotten about.

This game just does not provide anything new or provide much of a challenge. Perhaps it might be appropriate for someone new to gaming, but most gamers will grow quickly bored by it.

The graphics are about on par with everything else in the game. The resolution is locked at 800x600, and even if you ignore the blockiness of the graphics the small levels are bland and uninteresting and the cutscenes smack of stock-footage amateurism.

Less a game than a geopolitical simulator of a bizarre, parallel Earth. Try not to hurt yourself while rushing out to the store to pick up your copy.

Avoid Vampire Rain like a vampire would avoid sharing a garlic burger with a priest on Miami Beach at noon.

25 to Life just doesn't have anything going for it that warrants a look at the game unless you're gangsta obsessed or bored out of your mind after playing every other available Xbox game out there. Save yourself the frustration and spend your gaming dollars elsewhere.

A bad day for L.A., an even worse day for gamers.

If you really love World War II naval combat and have a very high degree of patience, then maybe take a look at Destroyer Command.

There isn't a whole lot else to say about Nectaris. It's an old school strategy title that I'm sure someone will enjoy based on either nostalgia or just a lack of anything else to play.

Ecco is a game with great promise, but horrible controls and a very high difficulty level combine to make a wonderfully beautiful animal into a sadistic game.

The idea is great, the execution poor. We can only hope that this is not the only treatment of the subject we'll see in computer gaming.

About what you'd expect from a budget shooter, maybe less.

Exercise your brain by thinking of creative ways to avoid this game.

It's all pretty repetitive and unexciting, and there's not really any motivation to keep running the same boring races over and over again on the same tracks. There are far better racers out there, even on the lowly GBA.
