The excellent implementation of combat among an army, combined with the large variety of gameplay and an excellent campaign story make this game truly shine.- Gamer's Pulse

No difference [in gameplay] from last year's version, except in running. And even that needs more help.- Gamer's Pulse

It is a masterful piece of RTS gaming that will entrench those who dare to delve into it deep into the thrills of deep space combat. At first it is a little overwhelming with the ability to jump from one map to another. It is enough to lose a lot of players. But for the hardcore RTS fan this game will be a true gem.- Gamer's Pulse

The graphics may be a bit lacking, and it may run a bit slow (I'd really hate to imagine a machine near the system reqs), but it's a blast.- Gamer's Pulse

Hardcore RTS fans will be unimpressed with EOTAs strategically-lacking and limited combat, hands-off management, and overall dull brand of gameplay.- Gamer's Pulse

There were a thousand things that could have gone wrong, making the gameplay experience a chore, or making it boring, but none of those things went wrong, and the gameplay is exciting and fun.- Gamer's Pulse

A true measure of any great series, whether it be books, movies, or computer games, is that I always feel a sense of loss when they are over; ToB gave that to me.- Gamer's Pulse

It’s solid and balanced, visually spectacular, offers a fairly easy though engaging single player campaign and skirmish mode, and is true (perhaps too true) to the common conventions of the genre.- Gamer's Pulse

A nice return to a classic game scenario, but is far too short and fails to bring anything new to the series. While playing Blue Shift was fun, I would compare the experience to eating Chinese food. No sooner had I finished, than I wanted more.- Gamer's Pulse

It's extremely fast, it's even more intense, and it has replay value to boot. What more could you ask for in an arcade racer?- Gamer's Pulse

Super Mario Advance might be nothing more than a beefed-up port of an old game, but hell, it’s a Nintendo classic.- Gamer's Pulse

If trains are your bag, this is your program. There are other train simulators out there, but this is bar none the most polished, most complete, and with a company like Microsoft backing it up, likely to be the best supported of them all.- Gamer's Pulse

The voice acting is pure camp. The sad thing is that the camp gets old real fast and I was ready to ‘enforce’ that twit long before the game was over.- Gamer's Pulse

The fact that players must watch their units and stockpiles carefully is an extra, and welcome, dose of realism. Nothing is worse than having a mutiny on your hands or losing your structures to your enemy.- Gamer's Pulse
